"Once Bitten"

I think anyone who has been bitten by Gabriele or Mac (or Vamp, or...) should get a t-shirt with this phrase. :D

Well I'm not, for one thing he appears (in my opinion) to be mad as a box of frogs, and for the other I'm on record has having disagreed with almost everything he ever said.

In fact the point I most vehemently disagreed with was his view that people should be mocked and disregarded based on his perception of their IQ and communication skills.

Sometimes though I think there's quite a lot of traffic going in the other direction.

I've noticed a few times that people (including me) tend to take a wee beating if they use words of more than one syllable.

Now I know it's a pain in the bum if someone sounds like they've just used the MS Thesaurus on every word simply with the aim of doing you down. I'm not in that category, I just use what I think is the right word for the occasion.. and only use the thesaurus for every second word.

Sorry if I was a bit.. beligerent with FD, but again in my defense.. it pretty much smacked of a passive-aggressive tirade.. "people who display your behaviour are complete b*stards.. but I'm not talking about you.. honest I'm not ...you b*stard".

In any event I do apologise to FD, if I misunderstood his post.

If Pep is as mad as a box of frogs as you say then perhaps he would disagree with some of the things he said (intentionally or unintentionally) before he left the thread and have continuity in expressing his pompous belligerent (sp?) bigotry.

/Now which site was it that specialised in slashies?

The parts that Tom Cruise wasn't in were pretty good. He really ruined the movie for me overall though.

Then again, I think - have always thought - he's a horrible actor and I'd happily stab him for some of the psychotic statements he's made in recent years. :)

LMAO! i was able to seperate my knowledge of him with the character part itself. i just let myself enjoy the movie... he is a terrible actor though.

i, personally, will simply lump you in to the 65%+ category and take you at face value based on my summation.

LOLOLOL!! :D

I think when South Park first aired on TV, I did not have time to start watching it, and then, well...I just never got around to it. :p

then you have never met some of the greatest television characters of all time: Scuzzlebutt, Token, Towlie, Mr. Hankey, to name a couple....

me/ beams and irrationally takes credit for everything that is good about home state. I was just looking at some pictures my son took last week up around Inyo. A different kind of terrain again.

I have been to Mono Lake when i toured the back side of Yosemite on my way to Vegas. Stark and uninhabited, but beautiful. there are herds of wild horses out there. incredible.

SoCal has plenty to offer if you can stand the fact that there are so many people concentrated into the area.

i do not enjoy lots of peoples in a small place like that, for too long. i am quite spoiled.

It's okay Mo, you can come play with Amara and me. We haven't seen South Park either. :)

I liked Click-

Also- I think we have learned a better Ignore way- if you don't address it- if we continue merrily along and refuse to participate in this inane desire for self aggrandizing it will have no choice but to die and go away.

It's a HUD you wear that enables your av to swim, dive, tread water, etc. COOOOOOOL

The earlier version stopped working correctly after Havok 4; the new version does work.

There are other swim HUDs around, too Gabriele mentioned she has one that she loves! :)

sounds neato. i should check in to that! thanks! :D

as far as i can tell, California has everything mother nature has to offer. as of this writing, i see no reason to travel elsewhere for such beauty. maybe So Cal next time. and I'd love to dip into Tiawana at leat once in my life.

i'm a big fan of architecture too. my own home speaks volumes for my love of angles and odd corners. LOL

I am sure California is a beautiful state and I hope to see it some day.

You have missed a lot in your life if you haven't seen a 250 year old haunted plantation home, flooded rice fields, cotton, sugar cane or stand knee deep in a cypress swamp with a baby alligator nuzzling your ankle.

We have every style of architecture also, Greek Revival, Steamboat Gothic, Federal, French Herritage, Spanish Mission and Acadian.

Just so long as it is a BABY alligator, and not its momma sizing me up for lunch. Or a cottonmouth.

Gee...swamps would be great if it weren't for all the things that bite or scratch or sting or muss my hair.

Can't we go to the mall instead? :D

Good morning Threadies! I went to Seattle for the first time since 1995, which was for a Grateful Dead show.

It's a beautiful city! We did the Underground Tour, ate fish & chips by the ocean, threw french fries at seagulls, went window shopping, walked through Pike Place Market, drank martinis, etc. What a lovely day, and with no rain! We considered buying one of the 36 new penthouse apartments at the Four Seasons hotel, but, meh, I left my checkbook at home. At any rate, whee! :)
