I need more coffee to make sense of that last one (I am mathematically impaired and that last bit had OMG NUMBERS!!!)- suffice to say you are feeling bummed? /me hugs you, FD.

I love numbers but just don't ask me to multiply large equations past 7th grade math and I will be fine
Just the usual bummed out, grumpy weekend recovery time from another weekend in sexless rl world with non-functioning pose balls and usual grumpy, tired non-functional fleshy crap.

i hate shopping. does it have to be a mall? darn. how about some camping in a nice, safe state park?

edit: then you only have to worry over coyotes and bears.
Lol I'd rather risk bears and coyotes than go shopping.

Good morning Threadies! I went to Seattle for the first time since 1995, which was for a Grateful Dead show.

It's a beautiful city! We did the Underground Tour, ate fish & chips by the ocean, threw french fries at seagulls, went window shopping, walked through Pike Place Market, drank martinis, etc. What a lovely day, and with no rain! We considered buying one of the 36 new penthouse apartments at the Four Seasons hotel, but, meh, I left my checkbook at home. At any rate, whee! :)
Now I want to go to Seattle! Very nice picture, Oryx.

Kaimi I will echo Brenda - you are fabulous :)

Hugz Mo :)
You and Brenda are both way too kind. I really really like it. Hugz!

Rolling around naked in flowers (in a dignified grandmotherly way) sounds good to me.

Wedding Singer is one of my favs too. I watch it every single time it comes on. I'm very partial to Spanglish and 50 First Dates :)
I like Adam Sandler a lot but I wish he had better vehicles (notice that L.A.-speak there?) Most of his movies are just a bit too silly for me and his character a bit too over the top. I did think the wedding singer was quite sweet though.

oh man, i totally got that wrong then. i thot Bart was comparing himself to Pep, not FD, in his reply you quoted.
What!?! Maybe I got it all wrong and everything I said is just total nonsense.

Okay, how many peeps look at building in rl and think "nice build" :p /me raises hand.

/me raises hand...just did this on Saturday when driving by a new hotel complex. Also - I took at look at the intricately-carved and HEAVY beds I was supposed to disassemble/reassemble on Saturday, and actually wondered how many prims were in each piece of the beds.

Since it hasn't been mentioned yet, did anyone catch the Men's freestyle relay race last night? Wow. I've sort of ignored the Olympics for a while, but this year, for some reason, they have really caught my attention, and that race was crazy. Five of the eight teams broke the old world record. The heavily-favored French had been talking all sorts of garbage about the US team. In the last leg, the French were ahead and their anchor was the world record holder. The US swimmer caught him in the last 10 meters and won by a ridiculously small margin - like 8/100 of a second or something. I was jumping off the couch screaming like a crazy person on the last leg. It was just ridiculous. I think I would have been screaming no matter who the team was (I'm glad it was the US, though :) ). Those guys swam the race of their lives to get that win and their reaction was priceless.

BTW - good morning everyone! Another week in paradise!

Yes the last leg of that relay was incredible. I love the olympics. Especially when people that aren't supposed to win pull off an upset.

Nah don't bother- If you sit here long enough the posts just come back up and around- currently we are rolling half naked thru a field of flowers with kitties dancing on our heads and watching the Olympics while we try and talk FD out being grumpy- I think Alan Sandler is redoing Interview with a Vampire but then again he may have been spotted building in SL. Something like that..

It sometimes does seem a whole easier to some to just not to have certain attachment to certain things or programs sometimes especially certain emotional or physical attachments and dependencies on those rl pose balls.

we watched the gymnastics last night. i guess there's quite a bit of controversy surrounding the 'actual' ages of some of the Chinese gymnists. it is required that you be 16 in order to compete, and some of the girls were reported to be as young as 12, and they certainly looked it.

A Small Public Service announcement for Forum Cartel Members who may have notices turned off:

Chris and myself have relinquished Ownership of the Group fully to Garrett and LittleMe.
Also Trout and Oryx have stepped down as Officers. Thank you for your support.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled nonsense.

Oh, and Happy Rezday, Annie. *Flowers*

I saw that announcement in world, and felt really disappointed. Chris, Brenda, Trout and Oryx, you've all done a great job. Thanks so much for all the time and effort you've put into the Hangout, and helping to make a fun place for us all to meet in world.

Hi! I'm back and I just read everything I missed - although maybe not all that thoroughly.
Late Happy Birthday Joseph and Amari and Happy rez day Ann.

Kaimi, HI! so glad you're back. I see from your pics you visited the Self Realization Fellowship Park? Is that where the lovely white arch is? Anyway, very cool pics.

He made a great vampire, its just that it was not true to the original story which is a bit miffing. I agree Tom Cruise was a mess, even Brad Pitt did a better job.

Don't even get me started on The Queen of the Damned movie lol

I too have read all the books and love them. Even the ones about the Mayfair witches are superb.

"even the ones about the Mayfair witches"??? I love those the best. Of course, as a vamp, you're prejudiced. :-)

From: Damien1 Thorne
It's okay Mo, you can come play with Amara and me. We haven't seen South Park either. :)

Me either. The concept doesn't appeal to me, and the voices I've heard drive me batty!

Hey, did you all notice? I'm serially quoting! LOL. Thanks Kaimi for showing me how.

Sorry I've been off the Forums all weekend, and missed the pool party. Claire, so glad you're back! Hi to everyone, hope we all have a good week.

:)

I identify as male and I am human male in various realities and lover of all things male but you know sometimes that certain low points with Male gender, not saying Female human gender is perfect either though or don't suck in major way on some days....
It wasn't met as personal jab or man-hating but there some things that are common with the human male species with 85% of human male population and same can be said about human female population to certain percentage too.
We all suck something sometime, majority of time it's attitudes that suck the most.
Here's what I think. Almost all of us need more attention, approval, affection etc etc from other people than we will ever get. If we do get it from someone for a little while we are terribly disappointed, even mad at them, the first time they fail to transport us as we wish. We all have developed techniques and strategies for avoiding this kind of disappointment and they often involve assuming up front that other people do not mean us well. Then we get hurt if they assume we have worse motives than we think we do.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

So true Kaimi, sometimes it easier to just not expect anything but being part human there is always going to be little nagging, demanding voice or baby crying for affection and attention at least in back of my head
I haven't figured out how to find good gag yet.
