I promise to do the "about me" in just a bit. Have a few time critical things to handle first, but wanted to pop in and say: Good Morning everyone. Gosh, I slept really late two days in a row -- last week must have wiped me out. @Skell -- thanks for identifying the flower for me. I know the feeling. _____________________

Ok, me, let's see. 47, computer technician, play guitar, live in California, and I'm way too addicted to SL. Also, I'm a man of few words.

RL Lil is 45 and a computer tech (oracle dba for any that know what that is) -- been working in the IT field for about 25 yrs now. I live in Colorado, Denver area, married and have 2 children, 19 & 22. The children are from my first marriage which lasted 9 yrs and this marriage is approaching our 12th anniversary.
I originally came to SL in early 2007 - read about it in some magazine article. That account mostly wandered the Victorian worlds. In July 2007 Lil was born and started going to the dancing venues (Phat's, Toby's, Junkyard Blues, etc...) -- I really do love dancing in both SL and RL. I had already discovered the Forums with my other account and soon after Lil's birth, the Hangout was created. It was more to Lil's lifestyle, so that is the account that started hanging out there and meeting people. Eventually, Lil became the only account that I used - mostly because the Hangout and the people there became my true home and family in SL - and Lil is more like the RL me anyway (personality wise, I lost that fab body a few years back). I had a fairly serious 4 month SL relationship that ended just a couple of months ago with a lot of hurt, but we have figured out how to be just friends now, so all is good there. I do not create anything - I am dismal at building and I fight textures like mad anytime I want to change the walls in my house. I have considered learning scripting but so far cannot convince myself to do anything that might appear to be *work* in SL. Instead I contribute lots and lots to LL via the premium memberships of my accounts (cheaper to have multiple premium accounts than pay more tier) and I spend tons in the SL world because I am an admitted shopaholic (mostly dress/skirt outfits). Even though I am sort of known for finding some absolutely fabulous freebies and I have tons of them, I do still spend a fortune anyway. Additionally, I contribute my fabulous cheerful personality and wit while flirting and dancing, mostly at the Hangout. ![]() (not a woman of few words) ![]() _____________________

Just now I went and unpacked a conglomerate thingie that had recently appeared in m inventory- This is so great! I am reminded to again offer a suggestion: Conglomerated inventory objects like Amar's usually contain your stuff in its original physical relationships, and opening some of them can give you a huge mess of stuff all spread out beyond the confines of the space you would like it to occupy for sorting. If you take the conglomerated object to a spot where four sims or empty parcels meet with unoccupied space in each corner and autoreturn set in each location to 5-15 minutes, you can easily break the conglomerate into more manageable chunks. (Beware of places with no autoreturn -- you can have a mess on your hands) What you do is rez the conglomerate exactly on the intersection of the four corners and the goods will be rezzed over the four parcels. If you do nothing more, it will return to you in four smaller conglomerates, etc. Obviously, you may also "take" individual objects while they are rezzed. But when an entire house is mushed in one conglomerate, furnishings and all, it makes sense to at least break it down into smaller "bricks". I do not want to openly post the location I usually use for this, because it is four corners of protected estate land. But if anyone has a conglomerate they know will be a bear to untangle, PM or IM me for a suggested location. _____________________

Thanks Cee
![]() Fortunately- Terminus is really a pretty large chunk of land as far as prim count compared to what I had to unpack- so far - it was easy too unpack and then just collect piece by piece. _____________________

Ok this is the last one for a while.
![]() 180 riders, on twenty teams, started the Tour three weeks ago and the 145 survivors took advantage of tradition today to ride without attacks for the first 82.5km, from Etampes to Paris, of today's 21st and final stage. There was a lot of mugging for the camera, chatting, and congratulating the various winners and their directors back in the team cars. This is Team CSC on the road this morning. ![]() As is also the custom they even drank a little champaign, out of plastic flutes, as they rode along. ![]() Once in Paris Team CSC, including overall Tour leader Carlos Sastre, in his Yellow Jersey, rode to the front. The rest of the peleton stayed respectfully behind as CSC led the first of eight 6.5km laps around le Jadin des Tuileries and up and down the Champs Elysees. CSC also managed to win the best team competition and the best young rider competetition. As soon as that lap was over, howeve, the race was on for the only contest still to be decided this year, the winner of the final stage. ![]() The whole peleton was soon racing along at top speed as rider after rider tried to go away from the front. No way were the teams of the sprinters going to let that happen of course and in the end it was Team Quick-Step who managed to position themselves perfectly and time to perfection their lead out of Belgian Gert Steegmans for the win. It was an especially sweet victory for Quick-Step as it was about the first success they had in what must have otherwise been a disappointing tour for them. ![]() The final results in the overall competition: 1. Carlos Sastre (ESP) CSC- Team Saxo Bank – 3,559.5km, 2,211.77 miles in 87h52'52" (40.490km/h) 2. Cadel Evans (AUS) Team Silence-Lotto +58" 3. Bernhard Kohl (AUT) Team Gerolsteiner +1'13" 4. Denis Menchov (RUS) Team Rabobank +2'10" 5. Christian Vande Velde (USA) Team Garman Chipotle +3'05" 6. Frank Schleck (LUX) Team CSC-Saxo Bank +4'28" 7. Samuel Sanchez (ESP) Team Euskaltel-Euskadi +6'25" 8. Kim Kirchen (LUX) Team Columbia +6'55" 9. Alejandro Valverde (ESP) Team Caisse d'Epargne +7'12" 10. Tadej Valjavec (SLO) Team Ag2r-La Mondiale +9'05" Other results: Sprinters' Green Jersey competion: Oscar Freire (ESP) Team Rabobank King og the Mointains Polka Dot Jersey: Bernhard Kohl (AUT) Team Gerolsteiner Young Riders' White Jersey: Andy Schleck (LUX) Team CSC-SAxo Bank Most Aggressive Rider: Sylvain Chavanel (FRA) Team Cofidis Best Team Team CSC-Saxo Bank _____________________
