The more I consider this, the more I'm convinced a LOT hinges on LL moving forward to release their promised open source server software. Once that happens, none of what "they" decide to do will amount to a hill of beans. In effect, SL will become an open part of the internet at-large...and if' I'm hosting content on my own open-source server, and others are using open-source clients...*shrugs*...no one can tell me what I can or can't do with my digital world (yeah, yeah, provided I follow the applicable laws of my country/state/area in which my server and I reside...)).
So...ban away. Either LL will be true to their word, and release an open-source server package...or they won't. If they don't...then they're a pack of shifty liars (doubtful)...and if they do...no worries.

From: Ciaran Laval I'm not a casino owner and I must have spent all of L$100 in gaming machines since March so I'm not going to miss gambling as to me it was a gamble to gamble here anyway. I just don't like the way it was done. It's more of a gamble in Sl because there were never any laws to protect you from crooked casinos, thats one of the reasons why gambling is regulated online so people trust the gambling websites.

those arent very sweet words. From: Ann Launay I respect everyone's right to their own opinions, as long as they respect mine. I don't know you, and you may be a perfectly lovely person but, whether intentional or not, your arguments have a tendency to take on a hostile tone and you've also been known to resort to name calling, to which I do object. That's the extent of any 'issue' there may be between us. *shrug*
