Wow you don't really think a whole lot of this person who you are so honourably "defending." That one makes your pronoun slights look downright amiable. I don't like her, no. I respect her viewpoint, and her right to happiness as a fellow human being. Which is more than most do in this thread. She could definitely be more tactful. But frankly, this has all been going on for too long, and gone too far. And it's time someone took a stand on it, and by god, that's what I'm doing. The preservation of humanity and civility in any society demands it. |

So, leaving aside the past 20 pages and just going back to the OP, do you think the chalking incident, which looked to me to be in support of griefers and against prok, aka: a stupid but harmless joke, was something to get this bent out of shape about? Do you think a Linden should be fired for that one, specific incident? /me suspects this will either be ignored or will generate posts that quote it but don't actually answer the damn question. Status quo.

I actually have a lot of sympathy for Prok over the griefing he gets. Everyone has the right to lead their RL and SL unmolested and without griefing, I have always supported this principle. I have always thought his ban on the forums and now on the pJIRA was a travesty of Linden justice. I don't like that this graffiti was made on the Linden Offices either and *IF* it turns out that a Linden employee had anything to do with it or the assisting with the griefing of Prok then I expect them to be summarily dismissed and thrown out with a flea in their ear. None of that has any bearing on what you have brought here as evidence. Even if it actually happened this way, your "facts" are not the evidence of it happening. What you say about Tizzers being on Prok's land is also true, there is no way she was just being nice. However the accusations against the Linden there have no basis of fact. He was observing, maybe even there to keep the peace and was polite and congenial. Prok could have stopped the whole thing by ejecting Tizzers and then he would not have had to put up with that and I don't know why he didn't do that. Prok's chat logs only do him the usual kind of discredit he often does himself and has probably harmed his case considerably. That is the most unfortunate part of all of this. All you are doing is making all of this worse.

I"ve actually given this a lot of thought. If i was their supervisor, i would err on the side of caution, given there is a chance they were being sincere. But I would put in place some conditions: 1) Stay away from Prokofy Neva. If you get a call that involves her, recuse yourself from it and hand it off to someone else. 2) Leave the Woodbury group. If they can't do those two simple things, I would then start questioning their motives. |
