Having the Windows version in the compiler now I decided to enable @putinv per default. Still a paranoid soul may turn it off in debug settings. Think that's the best solution.

IMPORTANT: The announcements, discussions and support for the Cool SL Viewer have been moved to its own, dedicated forum, here: http://sldev.free.fr/forum/ This thread was becoming a monster thread and was not really appropriate for support and discussions about non-Linux builds, which in turn lead to have three different places dealing with the support of the Cool SL Viewer... Please, do not post any more in this thread. See you on the shiny new forum instead !

I have the standard linden linux sl viewer and it is slower than molasses. Yes, it has. I run the 1.9.05 legacy CoolSL release on a 900 and it runs properly. Don't expect significantly better performance, though. You need to edit ./secondlife and drop draw distance to 32 or 16 for that. Disabling every last graphical feature in custom helps, voice should be disabled, you should use a ramdrive for SL's cache, clock your IGP to 400MHZ with GMAbooster, and close all programs and applets/dock widgets that use precious CPU cycles. Also, make sure not to wear anything primmy; you'll lag yourself into oblivion
