Just CHANGE the name and be done with it. Criminy.
People came together because of reasons other than some difficult to spell city name. And, quite frankly, after all this, do you honestly think anyone is going to sign up with port nberg? Once bitten, twice shy Ulrika. |

Question: Why do you want the name? It's never going to cease being associated with Ulrika and I --it will always hang over your heads. I think he just wants revenge for a certain other person's pooping in baby J's manger. _____________________

Actually, As an Artist's Community Commune dedicated to protecting the rights of both craftspeople and consumers It's been generating quite abit of interest already from some very talented folk. That and Port Neualtenburg is charming looking, with boats and seagulls and nice long roads to ride our official scooter (The Neuspa). I hope those who enjoyed Neualtenburg's architectural charm in the past will come visit and take in the sights. Leave the political yammering at home though. _____________________

All the items are gone. The DMCA has nothing to do with Trademarks. The issue had been dealt with before you filed it. Even your own posts admitted the only remaining issue was the name. LL warns those who file there are legal consequences. On the face of the filing it seems like an attempt by the accuser to intimidate the accused after negotiations failed. After being informed that names can't be copyrighted, the accuser filed a copyright take-down. Fortunately, unless there are damages, it's unlikely the accused could seek damages for malicious legal action. Dont you own a house on Ulrikastrasse? off the corner of Kendrastrasse? _____________________

Hmm, my idiot detector just went off. Oh, never mind it's my troll "lets keep the drama rolling detector". Well speaking personally, I would be grateful to anyone who pointed out that if I gave a sim the name I was intending I would be making a fool of myself. _____________________

Dont you own a house on Ulrikastrasse? off the corner of Kendrastrasse? No, my house is on Talenstrasse, I was careful not to live on those streets. I'm sure many streets will be renamed soon. ![]() I was just thinking, had you all named the sim Ulrikaburg, changing the name would have been a priority. ![]() |

Why? I thought names weren't copyrighted? Because those names are probably not wanted in N'burg anymore. Just a guess. |

Why do you want the name Neualtenburg? Do you want your Sim to have a Pirate theme? Right now the name of our sim is Neualtenburg. It has always been Neualtenburg. It will continue to be Neualtenburg unless the people of Neualtenburg decide to change it. I have said I'm in favor of changing it, and any other thing that would remind us of this nightmare. But others have labored under the name to create this place, and now she is gone, with her things, the sim is just fine. If they want to keep the name, so be it. |

To be honest, from uninvolved point of view it comes across very strongly the only reason you insist on keeping the name despite hating it otherwise ... is because Ulrika asks for it to be changed. Like kids in sandbox really. Not caring about the ugly toy itself, but still clutching to it because _other_ kid you hate wants it. It's perhaps a wrong impression btw, but that's what you personally make it look like. |

Well speaking personally, I would be grateful to anyone who pointed out that if I gave a sim the name I was intending I would be making a fool of myself. The names suggested had nothing to do with my detector, it was something a little more subtle, or maybe not so subtle. _____________________

Stop being a killjoy. |

Well, Kevn, that's three cheeks you haven't turned. You only have one more.

And, quite frankly, after all this, do you honestly think anyone is going to sign up with port nberg? Of course. Some of us find the PN concept interesting. This is just another of life's interesting episodes. When a thing goes sour the results are always quite similar. I expect both sides to hike up their lederhosen and move on eventually. The dust will settle and we will look at them on their own merits. I firmly believe that the new PN concept is worth participating in and watching grow. Even if nobody cares, why shouldn't they carry on with a new Projekt for their own purposes. Lots of folks soldier on in the face of detractors to do a thing that moves them. _____________________

Damn good point. It is true Hitler was elected. but once he suspended the German Consitution, he left the path of government by the people. |

Thanks, Gabe --you might wish to know that "Oktoberfest Spirit" will come early in Port Neualtenburg this year as I am throwing a grand opening bash from June 10th thru June 17th (Ulrika's and myself's respective 2 year rezz days) And to prove it's the legitimate Neualtenburg --we'll be selling Ulrika's famous chicken hats!! Plus Vespa races on the Meisterstrasse! _____________________
