I've warned all of you not to say I am someone I am not. This is very much so against the TOS of SL. If it happens anymore I will be reporting you. Think of me as nice as I could report you now and it is hurting my feelings as you keep defaming me.

Anyways, If you will notice, the buy orders from the day traders has gone wayyy up over the past few hours due to the fact they seem to feel the Linden will lose value from here. You have another 6-12 hours to sell then it is back up to the 300s or 298-299 at best, then only downhill from there.

As you said to me twice, go cry me a river...


By the way, and this is in no way a personal attack, but... why did I picture a little kid then, stamping his foot and whining "you better be nice to me or I'll tell!"...?

You can "picture" whatever you want, but you still haven't told me what it is you are going to eat on Wed.

Besides which, since I made no claims as to what would happen, nor made any definite predictions that have been proven wrong over the last 36 hours, why would I need to "eat" anything?

Ok here is the latest great news for those people waiting for the L$ to gain strength. The amount of L$ sold 7/3/2006 was 11,716,511 compared to 12,734,549 sold on the previous Monday 6/26/2006. The USD value of those sales were $38,543 on 6/26/2006 versus $38,998 on 7/3/2006. Even better news, on 6/25/2006 the average rate as reported in the historical data was 327.76, with $38,543 worth of L$ purchased on 6/26/2006 the average rate slid to 330.4. The average rate reported on 7/2/2006 was 303.95, with $38,998 worth of L$ purchased on 7/3/2006 the average rate strenghtened to 300.44. What Pan Fan was expecting when he first started this tiraid was the same action this week seen last week. It didn't happen and with USD continuing to pour into SL this week like last week the increasing amount of L$ for sale at L$240/1 could very well all sell next Sunday.

Ok more numbers, my data last week only included L$280/1 and above numbers but the increase observed in the float from 6/25 to 6/26 was an increase from $39,456 to $46,792 or +$7,336 which resulted in the average going from 327.76 to 330.4. This week I'm going to use the float from L$250/1 and above and the increase was from $23,805 to $28,956 or a +$5,151 which resulted in the average going from 303.95 to 300.44. Why didn't the average go up when the float increased, because sellers are expecting a further drop as well they should and have been placing orders well below the highest rate to increase profits when they do sell.

Finally the news you have all been waiting to hear, last week the float changed very little between Monday and Wednseday, again something Pan has been counting on, but between Wednesday of last week and Sunday the float went from $46,167 to $13,833. That is a decrease of $32,334 in just 4 days. How much is the float between L$250/1 and above currently? It now stands at $28,956. I'll report where it is at the end of Wednesday so you can see jus how low the L$ can go just this week if current trends continue.

No, I'm smart enough to realise that trying to make any kind of accurate prediction from 4 weeks worth of data, data that included the unstable parts of the readjustment at the start ot the timeframe, is going to be guesswork at best and complete garbage at worst...

I'm also smart enough not to fall for the "goad them into saying something stupid" trick...

Oh, and I have said what I think will happen... you even said it was a good post. Shame you seem to have forgotten it already. Saying that... there is a difference between saying what you think will happen and claiming what WILL happen. I haven't mixed those two up... you have.

Most markets after such a good run will have a period of consolidation as it digests whats been happening. Theres also a period of retraction as well, but on the whole I think I'll wait and see how the next few days work out before making any decisions.

IF the L is 300s by wed. I will give you credit... NOT for being right(I don't give that for self fulfilling prophesies), rather for creating the panic that caused it. HOWEVER I still will not sell wed if it hits 300+. The L has ALOT more strength in it than 300's I'm holding and making alot more money than anyone that listens to you. I really don't care about minor fluxuations over a few days I'm looking at what I expect the L to do over 1 month. And I'm holding unless my price is met. If you create a little bounce as your panic mingles with early profit takers. It doesn't change my opinion of where the L is going. And I never said when it would get there.

Which is pretty interesting, because it seems there's still enough of rate growth to more or less balance out the usual 'stipend tuesday' sale rush thing and keep things steady (which Jamie chooses to misinterpret as 'linden reaching its peak')

Although the average _did_ drop to 303 or so, probably due to bulk of buy orders shifting from 315 to 318 level...

This is my only alt and no, I NEVER said anything about 500/1 or whatever. I only have posted this one thread in my whole life saying the L$ would stop gaining and start losing. Everyone was saying I'm wrong and now the instant selling rate is 299 about to be 300+ by wed when everyone is back at work in the US. Just as I said. You can still sell now and get a pretty good deal, but not like late last night, as I was saying all along. I'm surprised it made it this far, I was expecting it to stop around 300-301, but noone is perfect. I got it close though.

Lots of people are going to be eating virtual clothing tomorrow...

huh? I see over half a million on 298 with a mill on everything below it and growing. The instant sell rate is now 299 solid soon to be 300. The only reason it is so low now is because there are 6k+ people on due to the holiday. 300+ by mid afternoon tomorrow after the stipends cycle through and the day traders start taking profits, etc. Just as I said. And again, what is with this panic crap? I have said time and time again that there won’t be a crash or anything, but that 297 was the best sale rate before the L$ loses again, but slower then before. What has happened? Just that.

Better sell now! You might be able to wait until this coming Sat and get an ok deal, but I doubt any better than the 297 we had last night. 300+ by tomorrow afternoon. I'd sell if I were you. Now people are going to say I'm trying to "panic" you. lol. Don't sell if you don;t want to. Just saying what I would do, not what you have to do.

I'd say 301-306 by Wed afternoon. I think the pop of SL will continue to grow, but will slow a good deal after all the people whom were waiting to get into SL with the new signup process gets in world. The recent pop in population won't continue forever and some people who sign up will decide the game is not for them and leave. To sum up, the population will continue to grow buy at a slower and slower rate as time goes on.

Tell me... do you know about that large amount of people that live OUTSIDE the US? Strange though this might seem to you, the current time is the PRIME PLAYING TIME FOR EUROPE!

Almost every day there are 6k+ online at this time, so take your "oh, it's just the holiday" crap and stick it... you're running on an assumption that is WRONG.

The holiday HAS made the pop higher than normal at this time. It would be a good thousand or two lower if there were no holiday today. I know I wouldn’t be on, which I am.
