Stop... the rise started last TUESDAY!That happened 3 weeks BEFORE the rise... 2 non-related details that you are trying to work in there as though they are related.Day traders were always buying...Slippery Slope fallacy...
Sure you don't... that's why you're trying to panic people into selling...

It takes a while for the changes to trickle down to the actual economy. Now we have seen the changes which are now coming to an end. SELL NOW!

And now all that's left is 650 k at 297, and all 298 is gone. And today's average seem to stay firmly at 300 all day, at least up to now...

Seriously, wait until it falls to at least 305 like you claimed it would <g>

I still see 20k on 298 and a half a mill on 297 even though the popualtion for the day is now over 7k! Just wait until Tuesday when the stipends are added and everyone is not online because they are at a RL party and then just wait until Wed when everyone goes back to work! Timmmmmber! SELL NOW! It has already started to lose value from the L$ high.

lol, I'm not anyone but myself. Not JB or that other fella you've mentioned.

The fact is, right now is the best time to sell, maybe one hour from now. The best time to sell will be tonight when the pop reaches it max and thus demand is at its highest. Tomorrow the stipends get added and everyone in the US goes to party and is thus not online and then Wed everyone is back to work. All this combined with the end of the rebalancing from the ad cuts and the new pop growth slowing and the end of the holiday weekend and the stipends tomorrow will cause the L$ to lose value. The high population right now may keep the rate constant for now or maybe even force it to 295 for a little bit if tonights pre-party poulation grows massive, but it is all down hill form there. Why risk it? SELL NOW and get the deal of a SL lifetime! Or wait and sell in the 300s after starting Wed. Up to you.

I vote for Pan = RBD since his last post was 7-02-06 4:04 AM. JB has been AWOL since 6-14-06 so must have a different alt.

That, by the way, is a very good example of you not thinking it through...

People not online almost always means NOT SELLING THEIR L$!

You are making a false argument there, and it's been pointed out to you often enough.

Wrong. If I have 200k sitting there doing nothing, I'll put it on the market and go out and party and hope it sells while I'm out. The buyer only buys if he is going to be in game and playing, otherwise why buy L$? I think it is you, sir, whom needs to think things through.

155 k left now on 297, and no 298.

If anything, the buy orders are either starting to give in a little or trying to bait the sellers -- ~250 k worth of money sprawled in 310-315 range as opposed to not falling below 315.

Oh and the daily average dropped another 0.2 since last check.. at 300.3 now.

Really, the more often you howl tiiiiiiimber, the closer it becomes to that Peter guy and his cries about wolf. People will just stop giving attention ;s

As I stated several posts ago, the high population which may come tonight for pre-party fun will drive the price even or even down to 295 although I doubt it. Give it a few hours and it will lose the value gained from the population growth tonight. We are over 7k pop now, but that will only last until 11pm Eastern before going down quick. After that the pop for the holiday weekend won't get any higher and all the day traders will start to dump to get their profits as well as the end of the rebalancing from the massive loses a few weeks ago and the new ad cuts, and the stipend adds tomorrow.

Right now is the PERFECT time to sell! You can risk it and try to see if it gets to 295 at peak tonight, but I doubt it. At 11pm tonight Eastern Time it will be too late to get the selling deals of an SL lifetime! SELL NOW or before 11pm if you want to risk it for an extra one or two linden per dollar. From there on TIMMMBER. You can quote me on that and I'd be happy to answer any market questions you may have after I'm proven right by the market itself. SELLL!

Oh, the bitter irony...

Ever since limit buys came in, the buyer can AND WILL buy when not in game... Please... try to join us in the present and stop basing your conclusions on out of date information.

Tsk... if you had thought it through, you would have realised that you argument about buyers only buying when online was false. I turned it around on you to show just how false it was and you never spotted it.

Unfortunately for you, I DID think it through.

True that some people buy on the market, but the buy limits are mainly used by day traders, not actual in game players. People only buy L$ when they want to use it in game. If you are not going to play for the day, why buy L$? If you are not going to play for the day why NOT sell L$? Basic Econ. People have things for SALE on websites, etc all the time, people don't buy things online when they don't need it. Think it through...

You have not stated that at any point in time... you have consistantly declared that the current value, whatever it is at the time you post, is the best it will get.

You have been proven wrong so many times over the last 36 hours, and not once have you been right...

I like the self fullfilling prophecy of telling everyone to sell now. If everyone sells now.... Yep you're right, the L$ is going to lose value because excess amount of L$ being swamped onto the Market.

Instead, what you're seeing is a controlled buying and selling. With a steady downward trend. Yes the downward trend is going to slow and by the end of the day we'll probably only see the $L at 294/1. Is it the "Time to Sell" Sure if YOU as an individual feel it is the right time to do so. Not because some second rate home financial expert is shouting "TIMBER" or "Dead Cat Bounce"

If you are so good at judging the economic trends of the SL Market you would make better use of your time playing the Stock Market on Wall Street. Instead of sitting on a Forum on the Internet yelling at people about how to handle their SL Financial portfolio.

I HAVE been right. I didn’t hit the nail right on the head at 301, but I sure as hell got the time right when the value of the L$ was going to stop gaining. After tonight at 11pm it is all downhill and that is only because a lot of people are getting online for the night, which is a variable not in the equation several hours ago when the value was down. Just look at it, the value is flat and only gaining anything due to high pop for the night. This is the end of the gains and the start of the loss. Wed afternoon you’ll be eating your shorts.

SELL now to get the best deal ever!

I doubt anything I post here has any influence on the SL market at all.

I have a stock portfolio in the tens of thousands, which I manage, not some bank or 401k. I also trade on Forex often. Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Wed afternoon I'm so going to be on here calling you all out as you're selling your linden in the 300s.

some people will buy while out of game to make sure the transfer has gone through by the time they do log on... remember, it CAN take some time to hit the account.

So... even though you just stated "that some people buy on the market, but the buy limits are mainly used by day traders, not actual in game players." you are now stating that people only buy to use in game.

Since day traders don't buy to use in game, you've just managed to contradict yourself in the space of 2 sentences... nice going.
From: someone
If you are not going to play for the day, why buy L$?
Day traders?

If you are not going to play for the day why NOT sell L$?
Selling fee, then a buying fee to buy it back when you DO play... it's gonna cost you money if you try it.

Oh go cry me a river. We could go back and forth all night. The fact is the value of the Linden will max at 11pm Eastern Time tonight. Sell before then or lose your chance to sell at the best rate in a LONG time. Mark my words and on Wed we'll see what you have to say as you're selling your linden in the 300s while denying it on the boards.

Well, I admit I missed that in the general slurry of "ZOMG!!!!1! SELL SELL SELL!!!!!" that you keep coming out with...

On the other hand, since you haven't managed to get the time right, (as the L$ is still gaining value, albeit slower than before) then we can say with 100% accuracy that you have yet to get anything right.

Tell you what, why don't you change your prediction AGAIN? And what will you eat when that one turns out to be wrong as well?

But I HAVE gotten it right on time. No economist can predict it right on the hour or even the exact day. I started posting when I knew the value was done gaining at some crazy rate. I knew it may gain a little more or start losing value then, thus the reason I mentioned it at that time. It turns out the L$ still had a little more in it, but that is def it. Even with our pop of almost 7.5k now we have a instant sell rate of 298/1usd and we even have some L$ on 298 now although it should be gone soon. After 11pm tonight, timmmmber. SELL!
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 ... 12
