Two possible answers... you were trying to panic the market into selling, (which can be done, we've seen it happen unfortunately) or you're now trying to spin what you said in the hopes that we'll be fooled by your rewritten claims...

I'm not Jamie or RBD. And I'm not trying to "crash" the economy. Give me a break with that. People post stuff about the economy or stocks all the time in RL; it makes little or no difference. I'm simply typing what I see the future to hold. I'm free to say or post whatever I want as long as it does not break the TOS.

If you guys keep trying to put me down or defame me I'm going to have to report you as it hurts my feelings and is against SL TOS. If you want to rebuff what I have to say about the economy with stats or your opinion, fine, but if you are going to try and say I am someone I am not or defame me, I'm going to have to report you. I could care less if someone posts an opinion different than mine or some different stats, but so far all anyone has done was try and hurt my validity by saying I'm someone I am not or by trying to defame me, both of which are against SL TOS. Saying that flaming wars is childish is 100% inline with SL TOS. It is an opinion, not a personal attack.

Now, if we could get back to the issue at hand, only one more hour before the population starts to decline and then the L$ will REALLY start losing value. Tomorrow the stipends get added. Maybe there will be enough people whom actually stay in and play to keep the pop up, but I doubt it and even if they do the L$ will still lose and then Wed will be the end of it. 300+ by Wed no doubt! And just so people don’t think I'm trying to panic people, you can wait and sell if you want, you won't lose it all or anything, you just won’t get the best selling rate. 305 is not that bad, but 297 is better!

If you're not RBD and/or Jamie, then a little advice: Yelling "SELL!" and "SELL NOW!" is counter-productive. Even if people didas you say, then the L$ would fall for no good reason. A moderate approach is much better. And honestly, those who have enough to sell aren't uninformed enough that they will immediately drop their L$ on the market at your reccomendation.

Right... put your money where your mouth is and show me where I have EVER claimed it WOULD continue dropping.

I have made no such claims anywhere, so why would I have to do anything if, by some strange turn of events, you are right? It's not like I have any stake in this... all I HAVE been doing is commenting on what is happening and trying to correct some of your more obvious errors.


Despite your attempts to make this into a battle of competing predictions between us, I'm not going to make the same mistake you have and actually MAKE any. (by the way, you are taking the thread away from topic and making it into a personal dispute... that is against CS/ToS)

In an attempt to drag it back to where it should be, I note that the gain in value has slowed, with L$ being placed at 296/5 in large amounts with small amounts being sneaked in at 297+ As there is now a higher $ cost to buy equal amounts of L$, we can see a major reason why it's slowing down... people will become more reluctant to buy as they get less for their money. However, if that is the only way for them to get the money they want within a reasonable timeframe, they WILL buy and the value has every chance to gain more value.

And guess what... there is every chance that the L$ will "blip" it's way down Tuesday... it almost always does. On the other hand, now that we've got things back to the pre-panic values, where it had been stable for a long time, I doubt that it will ever crash like that again, unless there is another major change to Lindex.


Opinions please... and no, that doesn't mean desperate attempts to convince people that it's just gonna fall from now and people should SELL!!!!!

Ok tossing my thoughts on this out there. First off Pan your just screaming sell like every other half wit before you to try and bring down the value of L even if you openly wont admit it and deny it in the open. Next the economy is going to slide about its going to get weaker and stronger and recent changes have nothing to do with a population increase there are times the population on has hit 8k. The reason the value of the L went up was more a boost in confidence and people getting their freaking way getting rid of some of the money for the more casual users.

Another note you is that not everyone in SL of that logged in population is actually buying L nor are all of them selling L. Not all content creators are selling L either some of us use the money we make to buy other products in world or help out people with that money. You can say you do all this stuff in the real world and that people post in the real world about stocks etc all the time to sell and stuff but the thing is SL is a bit diff and that money being traded on the stock market actually has a face value as opposed to a value set by the people using the stock market.

Run and sell now tactics are what hurt SL's economy in the first place and i think slowly people are starting to realize if they want to make more of a profit they are going to have to start by not listening to people that scream what you have been and do it the way thatt hings have been going now for almost the past month. The trend will likely continue to increase and decrease but the value will likely go up slowly.

I'm not an economic expert nor do i claim to be onebut i have been here a bit over a year now and have seen the economy in SL first hand time and time again and If your not someone's alt well frankly you really have no clue what your talking about even if you watched it while not playing.

See, you're using some very "intense" language to get across your message and it's giving the impression that you're desperate for people to sell. Maybe you could tone it down and we could actually HAVE a discussion about this rather than feel like we're talking to a hyperactive scaremongerer... or you could keep going as you are and have no-one take you seriously... the choice is yours.

OK, so from what you guys are saying I shouldn't yell "sell' anymore but instead politely tell people they should sell. Fine. I don’t care if people sell or not as I am broke and sit in camping chairs lol. I just want it to be known that this is the best sale rate and thus people should sell. You will see Wed that I was right all along and this wole conversation will be void.

Oh, and from what I see it is at 297 with the pop over 7.7k! Just wait until the pop goes down. I would sell if I were you. How's that?

Actually, due to the fact I have less than 1k in game, I'd be happy if the value of the L$ stayed right where it is or even got stronger, but this simply is not what is going to happen. I'm not doing this to try to make myself an extra .20 cents on a sale but rather because I know that my prediction is correct, or at least very close. I'd sell now if I had L$ to sell worth more than a few bucks lol.
