It's really easy to make rounded stuff. For me, at least.
But we have to use 9 prims - box at the center, 4 half-cylinders for the sides, 4 quarter-spheres for the corners.
I make pillows with flattened toruses btw. Vorgs Grate.

round rects would kick ass. the ability to make a very very common shape in RL with 1 prim instead of 9 would be really really nice. while more and more people have larger plots of land so can use more prims that dosnt mean we dont have limits still.

Because this has been requested a couple hundred times, let me start by saying that this is, by far, the most popular feature request I have ever seen on these boards.

So, let me quote myself on how it could be done. :D

I would kill for a subdivision algorithm available in-world. Unfortunately, the Lindens would need to find a solution to this, if implemented, so people could not abuse the algorithm to create objects with obscene numbers of faces (causing lag).

We need several different types of rounded primaboxes. The two I can think of offhand are:
1. Rounded only on side edges ("rounded cylinder";)
2. All 8 corners and edges rounded.
