Has anybody ever had a dream where they were "in" Second Life? I've been taking Wellbutrin to help quit smoking (cig free since last Thursday; YAY, not turning back) . Wellbutrin is know to produce some weird dreams. Being as that I spend alot of time in SL these days, I had an SL dream the other night. I was boxing! Funny thing is, I've never been to a boxing match in SL (or RL 4 that matter). Anybody else ever have an SL dream?

Yes... I was flying, too, which made the dream that much cooler.

Unfortunately it had this annoying aquaintance of mine, so that took the coolness factor down.

Fortunately, I flew away from him, which made the dream that much cooler.

And I had this other dream that I meant a bunch of Lindens... now that was a weird (ALBEIT PG RATED) dream.

"ok now you go over there and sit. good. now look at that. edit it.....right. next...." actually that is weird. :D

Sometimes, although nothing too exciting. Mostly pop windows and IMs appearing in the corners :)

Yay! I'm on my third day of Wellbutrin for the same reason. Now smokes give no pleasure, and will be stopping on Friday.

I've had a few SL dreams, usually involving lag for some reason, like one were I was trying to climb up plywood stairs, but each step was quite tall, and it was laggy, and so it was taking me forever.

When I was younger, I had a bunch of dreams inside video games. One I was running around in the 2d world of clanlords. Another was in Secret of Mana, and I rember kicking butt inside of double dragon.

if I play something like SL, GTA or something 3d before I go to bed I'll have little flashbacks and stuff in my pre-dozing stage.

It really sucked when I was doing "Descent 2" and rolled out of bed.

not wanting to hijack the thread, but Wellbutrin is one of the WORST drugs ever produced. You were better off smoking IMO. I HIGHLY reccomend you stop taking wellbutrin now while you still can. It is a horrible drug that does horrible things to your mind with long term use.

anyways... again, sorry for the hijack, but I just thought I'd warn you. Well, at least youre not taking Paxil.

I've always consistently had dreams about any games or "worlds" I participate in. Though as far as SL goes, I mostly dream about my "products" and how I need to set up what and where, and how I should implement this or that. I feel like a workaholic. :D

Yeah this stuff's no joke! I don't even care that I'm not smoking. I think I traded off ciggs for SL :p When u do stop smoking; Don't look back. You know why ur quitting. It's a horrible habit, keep that in mind.

Kinda what I felt like saying when I read this. You're taking a powerful psych drug intended for severely depressed people because you want to quit smoking !? Geez, I guess it is a trade-off... do I want to die at 70 from emphysema or do I want to die at 90 after spending the last 3 decades in a state of iatrogenic dementia? Bodies you can always get more of. Sanity isn't so easy to recover.

I dream about Second Life almost every night. Usually it's good but the other night I spent half the night worried about the placement of a house and if it was too much over property lines and that I had to move it but my screen was frozen.

Good luck on quitting.

Yes! I've had quite a few SL dreams. Hehe, I thought I was the only one.

The scary thing for me though is not the SL dreams, but the SL day dreams. I'll be driving down the street, look at a building, and see it in prims. I'll look at a sign with rounded corners and think about the alpha channel. What alpha channel? It really has rounded corners for god's sake! But now I'm programmed to think in textures and prims. It's a mad house, a mad house!

Since I was young I've been able to fly in my dreams, just like we do in SL.
When I'm here I feel like I'm dreaming. :D

In dreams I've had about SL, the AVs become human. It's interesting to go back into SL the next day and see those AVs in SL form again.

now to be off-topic again

I honestly hope, if you ever decide to quit taking that stuff, that you are one of the lucky few

Hmm, does it count if my dreams don't take place in SL, but in manido-aki, and involve lots of personalities I only know from SL?

Thanks for the concern. I've already started backing off, IMHO it is powerful and can mess w/ ur mind. Using it short term (month or so) to help quit an addiction is well worth the risk of what it will do to your mind. If u can quit w/o, by all means do it. I tried quitting w/o and no sucess. Now I'm smoke free

I haven't had any SL dreams, but I do have some really crazy dreams if I'm taking any medicines for anything.

This thread reminds me of one of the weirdest dreams I ever had. I dreamed I was a tom cat and a bunch of other tomcats were chasing me around trying to have sex with me. I was running, jumping, and climbing trees all night trying to escape. The next day I felt I'd had no rest at all! :D A few of my coworkers still call me "Kitty" because of that and I'll never live it down.

Wellbutrin is a doctor recommended drug to help quit smoking. I was on it for about 6 months few years back. Cleared up that smoking habit like a charm. No wierd dreams however, since I dream wierd all the time anyway, I guess I didn't notice anything different.

Yes it's also prescribed as an anti-depressent, and I COULD go into how that all fits together but I'm not interested - ask your doctor to get the lecture ;)

Paxil = Bad - DONT go there! see if you can get something else that can help your symptoms - anything but paxil!! GAH!!

As for SL dreams I dream about SL all the time. mostly I dream cool new fashions that I then try to make. Sometimes I can, sometimes I cant - but its darn fun tryin!

btw I starting smoking again few months after quiting Wellbutrin. But dang it sure works. Too bad it melts your brain. well not mine - my brain has been there done that LOL

Sure, in the morning I always get the "Script trying to wake up you but PERMISSION_WAKE_UP_ME_PERMISSION_NOT_SET"

Seriously, a week ago I was sick with fever and all, and more than one time I "dreamed" to be entering the log-in queue, wich would never resolve of course. :)
