I feel that having a seperate forum for this will give the SL explorers easy access to finding new and old places to explore in SL and won't be limited to a select few who are able to outbid others on ebay and/or are more popular.

I would like to suggest a Forum dedicated to people who want to list there builds/creations for people to explore and visit. Sometimes, these get lost in threads and are not always noticed.

I like this idea!
I also suggest if it is implemented, that people post coord links along with the post. Also, perhaps something like this could be done in-world? I could see it being abused though as for advertisement sadly, if it could be somehow automaticly moderated to watch for some sort of behavior like that (or user moderated or some sort), it'd be awsome to have inworld, one click teleports to interisting locations catagorized by type and/or sim. ![]() _____________________

That would be cool. But you know what would be even cooler? A web based hotspotted version of the world map that people could 'fill in the blanks' about what's there. And then those records would become a categorised, searchable directory, too.
I've had loads of ideas in this kind of area, but I'm not spending any real time on feature suggestions now. They're never listened to, never answered, never implemented even when you have complete unanimous agreement, and besides, we have a HOTLINE TO LINDEN! Why discuss it with other residents when you can just put it to a Linden directly? _____________________

Why discuss it with other residents when you can just put it to a Linden directly? Because LL doesn't always answer the hotline posts? ![]() At least here we can have interesting discussions with other people who care about the feature set, even if the results don't seem to go anywhere. Sarcasm aside, maybe things will get better with the new feature request systems they're talking about now. I'm not holding my breath, but I suppose it's possible. Meanwhile, whatever the limited impact of Feature Suggestions forum may have been, it's now diluted and fragmented across this forum, the Hotline forum, the wiki, the feature voting website, and whatever other well-intentioned external attempts have been made to try to get attention to the feature requests. But, as I said above, at least here you can actually have a discussion with some people who care about the feature set. That seems to be the best one can hope for at the moment. neko _____________________

At least here we can have interesting discussions with other people who care about the feature set, even if the results don't seem to go anywhere. Yeah. But we do. We discuss it, it sounds great, then the thread fades into obscurity without so much as a nod from the Lindens, and the next week, someone else comes along, suggests the same thing, we all discuss it, including pointing out its been discussed before, ad infinitum. Just after 15 months of giving and adding to and endorsing ideas, I'm sick of bothering. Sarcasm aside NO! Never, ever put sarcasm aside! ![]() If you did, what the hell would I have left to say?! _____________________

This has already been braught up before, please do a forum search before posting loopy comments. ![]() Yus. By me. Repetitively. Because the situation is stupid. Why do they bother having the feature suggestions forums at all if they're just going to ignore all the ones we make and let them fade into a jumble of threads they obviously are never going to go back over and pick up, because they simply dont have the resource. But they have the resources to answer people's individual wants in the new post only forum. *sigh* Yup. I know I just said the same thing. Again. But it needs saying! But anyway, I used the new forum to ask the question directly ![]() Feature Suggestions Acknowledgements? _____________________

NO! Never, ever put sarcasm aside! ![]() LOL, thanks, I needed that this morning. ![]() But anyway, I used the new forum to ask the question directly Good luck with it-- I asked a question about the status of specific feature requests two days ago, and posted links back to discussions here, and heard nothing. I posted a request for status today. If that also gets nothing, I'll pretty much give up on a response (though I imagine I'll make the effort to break my heart on the "feature voting system" when/if that ever arrives). Sometimes the effort to search for previous threads comes up empty, though, because people refer to things differently. I wasn't surprised to see someone propose rounded prim corners a couple of weeks after I did, because I know a lot of people don't search before posting. But I was surprised to trip over a much older thread asking for the same feature (along with a few others I'd mentioned, like stairs), because I thought I'd searched on that one first. The terminology used was different enough that I didn't catch it, I guess. That's where a wiki-ish organizing page, so you can see what's been requested previously by category, would be helpful, at least so long as it had links back to discussions about the feature. I'm perfectly happy to recycle an old thread if I know about it. neko _____________________
