I propose that all proposals be renumbered and prefixed according to the initials of the poster, the post number, date and time (gmt) of original proposition and it's user designated code in order that they are easily referenced back to the source. I propose Catfart get busy doing it and lists each proposal currently on the table in a new post, ordered and indexed with summaries using the new system. :p

E.g.

KU/216/19:40-02-08-2005/KALLEB-1

I think you should enact this just to make Catfart go through a hellish amount of work. lol

Pfft!

Rejected as not meeting rule 13. I like rule 13, thank you Siobhan

I'll accept the lack of long words. I'm not sure I understand your cynicism argument tho', what do you mean?
I'll agree we are lacking some definitions

cyn·i·cal (sn-kl) adj:

2) Selfishly or Callously Calculating

A cynical proposal could be one that is created for the soul purpose of being useful to the poster.

I have to go eat and do chores etc.

The Wiki is almost up to date.

I need to move the passed and failed proposals to the appropriate areas and update the rules. I want to do that before I add any new proposals or change the voting.

If the proposals rejected as not meeting the requirements of rule 13 are appropriately reworded and put here, I'll update them

It would be good if someone could go through all the other proposals and list those that have words over four syllables. The problem is the word Administrator

Please check the Wiki out. First time Ive edited one of these so any suggestions or comments are welcome. And obviously any mistakes in the game documentation

It would help if you could refrain from posting new proposals or voting on existing ones until I've finished the update. Which should be in about 4 hours

This is hard work at the moment, but fun. Must remember to do my own votes as well

Ta

Rule 13 does not state that the administrator must reject proposals he finds lacking in cynicism. It merely states that we get extra points for being cynical.

'13' The correct maner for prposals to be communicated is cynacism. Extra points will be awarded to players for being bitter and/or jaded.(ADMINISTRATOR NOTE: There are however no rules on how, when or how many points are to awarded)

Thank you Eggy. I propose that Catfart takes note of this and reenacts my proposal! And furthermore propose people vote for it more now cuz he tried to cheat!

CatFart, I have taken the liberty of filling in 3 sections:
* What is going on here?
* How do I play?
* Links to Nomic Resources

I propose Eggy stop being lazy and edit his post to provide direct links to the above.

If we were going to the letter of what it says... there is an assumed (only) between 'The' and 'correct'... which would make non-cynical proposals incorrect, and just invalid.

Proposal Kalleb-3:

An otherwise invalid rule may be validated, if and only if it is invalid according to every active rule prior to it's declaration.

(How is THAT for callously calculating mwahaha!)

I also propose that cynicism be accepted into the ruleset as the correct manner of communicating proposals. And that extra points be awarded to players for being bitter and/or jaded.

I would have liked to propose a rule whereby points were awarded for sarcasm, but feel that such a rule would effectively be racist, and so I won't.

This is the original proposal by Siobhan Taylor.
I invite Sio to clarify whether or not she thinks that all of those proposals should be rejected, and what she means by cynicism. I'm not a friggin actor, people

This issue has a large impact on what proposals are accepted or rejected.

I suggest a pause until Siobhan Taylor pops in.

In the mean time I will update the rules. All the proposals accepted at this point were raised before Rule 13 came into effect, so this problem doesnt effect them.

Eggy, thanks for updating the Wiki.

Sorry to be late, yeah, fucking right I'm sorry...

OK, look, since you can't be trusted to interpret my own proposal... here goes...

I think all the rules currently under advisement are a waste of my time, and have been generated by noobie trolls to disrupt my game. So, in effect, I have to say that I don't give a damn... ok? That enought freakin' decision for you?

Sio

(NB: to anyone offended by this post: I most sincerely appologise and suggest you try some other freakin' newbie friendly forum...)

Thank you.

NOTE:
Cynicism/irony/sarcasm/bitterness and the jadedness of the proposer should be interpreted by vote, in my not so humble opinion, and if necessary to the promotion of the game, I propose this as an ammendment to the above rule. Now FOAD and let me feed.

Well at least now there won't be any more people posting proposals, for fear that their content somehow differs from siobhan's magical vision of what her game should be.

Proposal EGGY-007:

In a vain attempt to rescue this stupid game from its apparently impending demise, I propose the retraction of rule 13.

Also -- Voting YES for EGGY-007 since we haven't approved any rule against this yet.

Ladies and Gentleman,

Thankyou for waiting.

The question has been what Rule 13 means. This has now been cleared up, and the rules have been amended. You can see the change I made here:

http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=CurrentRules

All proposals are now upto date. You can see them here:

http://secondlife.com/tiki/tiki-index.php?page=OpenProposals

I declare that this game is now active.

BUT

acording to this accepted proposal

I propose that the name of this game be changed from "Nomic" to "Funky Voting Thread," since no one knows what the heck Nomic is anyway.
for 5 against 1

This thread is now closed and the game will commence again in a new thread called "Funky Voting Thread"

Go here to find the new thread:
Funky Voting Thread

NO MORE VOTES OR PROPOSALS WILL BE ACCEPTED ON THIS THREAD
