what would be the point, they are estranged from Bin Laden anyway. they have repeatedly denounced him, disowned him and have cut him off from the family money. so naturally he's going to share his plans with his family right?

But they would have no idea where he might be or willingness to help the USA locate him? Questioning them couldn't possibly have helped find UBL at all. :::roll eyes:::

yes that story does apear in numerous places also - just the Bush / adminsitration/ governement connection is the hard one to find probable reliable information on.

in response to Billybob - i do not think they were "thrown out" - my guess is they had reasons to leave - perhaps as simple as the fact they thought they were in danger from Americans becuase their relative was now the most hated Man in the world from the Ameerican perspective.

Also the fact that a site is biased does not mean that its information is unbelieveable it just means that alternative sources need to compliment the information, in my opinion.

People tend to believe biased sources that agree with their veiwpoint more readily and automatically reject biased sources that do not. This is pretty normal i think.

I don't think "amusing" is what I would go with. I think I would choose the word disheartening. Of course... with our foreign policy, domestic policy, and all of the policies in between... I'm not surprised.

The bin Laden relatives were not "secretly whisked" out of the country, and it didn't happen during the period when flights were grounded or restricted. They were on a flight on the 20th.

your "main point" was a silly bit of distraction.

The snopes.com snippet uses the 9-11 commission report to "debunk" that story. I'd take that with a grain of salt.

I was referring to the "secretly whisked out" portion. Were you aware this happened before CBS broke the story on Sept 30. 2001? Nobody else was aware of it.

Sure would have loved to see the reaction in the airports filled with stranded Americans though.
