You aren't as important as a big business. You probably won't be. Lawsuits and jail are only going to come from this when REAL COMPANIES have recognized b.s. like SL as a viable platform and deal on it. As for now you, jeb, and joe from down the way are just gonna have to put your synergy on hold a couple hours. Again, you are proving nothing other than a limited view and a negative attitude. Real companies ARE noticing and legitimizing SL. Im sorry, once again, you cant see that. And I am sorry, once again, you cant see that SL is following some similar paths and challenges like the early internet did. |

The forum activity following the sim crashes is part of the fun for some folks.
Silence in the forums is better than angry outbursts. Muting those whose comments you find particularly annoying might be a good idea. Also, the previw grid is open, those just here to play might find it a suitable replacement. Good pretend shopping in a number of preview sims, for clothes, Bisque, Charteuse, Aqua, Mauve, and the Beverly Hills preview sims come to mind. _____________________

Then do something about it, moron. See if any court cares. And I'm serious here. If some of you vehemently believe that what has happened is undeniably illegal, by all means, prove me wrong and form a lawsuit. You're all talk and no action. _____________________

If real companies haven't recognized LL and SL as a viable platform then why has LL gotten both 8 mil and 11 mil funding in less than a year from large corportions? Sheesh. _____________________

You obviously don't understand the fact that this really isn't a game. P2 Second Life is a game to many of the people who (by default of their viewpoint) "play" it. The mentality of this being a "game" is what prevents the full potential of Second Life from being realized. Right now, a good portion of our RL society is filled with people who are obsessed with computer games. There have been a number of times that I've come across a newbie, here in Second Life, who has commented something like "I don't get this game, still trying to figure out the points system". If Second Life was a game, I don't think that we would have the option of converting $L to $US. It would only be a one way street from $US to $L Perhaps LL should split Second Life into two categories, the "economic system" and the "game system". People have found that Second Life is a way in which they can make some $ on the side, some in decent amounts of $US. If someone is going to accuse them of not having a "real life" and all that tripe, they need to stop being so descriminatory and at least go and throw the same tantrum at e-bay or any other on-line location where people have the opportunity to use their computer to make money. |

Perhaps a glitch based on SL crashing? |

Again, you are proving nothing other than a really sad view of what's still an internet game. Whether it's similar or not in terms of progression doesn't change the fact that CURRENTLY you're kinda silly for relying on it given what goes on. Wouldn't it be wise to use something more stable until SL is up to par (if ever) ? I have to ask... if you think SL is BS then why are you here? I'm here cause it's a fun game to play on my weekends when I don't have classes. It's NOT MY INTERNET 2.0. Sheesh. |

Wouldn't it be wise to use something more stable until SL is up to par (if ever) ? No, it wouldnt. Just as it wouldnt have been smart for the early adopters of internet businesses to just stop doing online commerce simply because it wasnt up to par yet. And I dont have a "sad" view, I have a realistic and firmly based one. The rhetoric you are pouring into this really doesnt matter and hasnt changed anyones view. |

I love how the immediate response in sue everybody. Laffo at that. Of course we all know lawsuits solve everything in America! This is why people still trade MP3s over P2P clients because the RIAA has struck fear into the American public with their mighty flexiprim hammer!

I say ban the griefers...perm. if htey come back under diff cc...or name..ban them again and again ................ i think we can have just as much fun banning them, as they do taking grid down. _____________________

Im not gonna waste my time on you further. You obviously have nothing better to do than stick your nose into a conversation you say doesnt mean anything to you. If it wasnt an issue for you, why did you need to come in here and start bashing people for their views? There wasnt one. Have a good one. |

<Blinks> I dunno what happened, but before, you were showing up as A Weber of clothmaking fame. Now you're not... Odd as hell... Perhaps a glitch based on SL crashing? Probably since I don't make clothes yet. Houses, furniture, custom kitchens, and other custom builds, etc is what I do mainly right now. I do plan on getting into making clothing and skins in the near future. Since the only tutorials I have found have all been for Photoshop and I use PSP it's going to take time I'm not ready to invest yet in figuring out how to make them. Anyway... it's no big deal. ![]() _____________________

Just calm down and relax. Your passifier of SL will be back soon enough.. besides, we're both off topic since it's a thread about a self replicating grid attack.. not the justification or foolishness of SL business, but you have a good one too.
Maybe I'll stop by one of your business meetings and we can rub primdongs with eachother |

THIS IS A """GAME""" PEOPLE!!!
Let's think about this for a second. What is your business? What do you sell? Oh yeah that's right you sell a VIRTUAL product to people so they can have a better experience in a GAME. This is the same as any other MMO. Instead of leveling up people buy products to make there character better, but instead of stats it's their own personal preference. I maybe could understand it being more than a game if you sold TANGIBLE products instead of virtual one's. But as far as i've seen nobody does. Stop acting like your all better than anyone because you play a GAME but enjoy calling it real life 2.0. |

Well here we are in anogher grid lock. Hey s&*T happens. I do feel sorry that some ignorant pimpled faced little butt pirate has no better ambitions with his talent than to
cause grief and misery for other people but what can we do... I do hope ll gets the little fart knocker and wrings the cash out of his little bank account. But i must say that for LL this is a business and I feel that they have all the right to sue the daylights out of butt heand and beavis when they get caught. As of for those of you tnat run business on SL i admire you and think it is a great endeaver in the land of cyber creeps to attempt it. Im behind you all.. But dont mortgage the house on what you can make on SL exchange to US from buiness online endeavers. Time will come that it may be possible. As of for those of us that use SL busineses dont be so hard on the business if somthing happens to you due to a grid lock. Im sure most sl business will be glad to give you a replacement service or even your cash back if in the event the little bastards kill the grid.... Have fun enjoy ( between locks) and remember the karma statement What goes around comes around.... Patience is a virtue Love ya. |
