I think you are imagining things. I never said that fat people who don't go outside are a majority, just that I've seen a lot of them. You've seen a lot of fat people who don't go outside? What are you doing in their homes?!?   As a sorta-fat, sorta-cave dweller, I sorta agree with you. I think it's okay for people to be intensly interested in Second Life, however it is true that people need to get outside now and then. I go for walks, garden, etc. However, I find it much more fascinating to log in to 2nd life when it comes to meeting new people and socializing. If I go into my town to wherever I might choose to meet people, I will probably meet people who are from my town, and of those people, only a few of them may have lived elsewhere in the world. In Second Life, I've been here roughly a month, and I have aquaintances in Japan, Sweden, Australia, as well as the city that is about half an hour from me. Game or not, it gets frustrating when it's down frequently, simply because I have fun learning about other places *edit* from live people who are in those locations */edit* |

it's not the fact that people get upset that's distressing, it's how and why some of them do. It sucks to not be able to play.. but, when people go on tirades about how their business is going to go bankrupt and the loan agencies and investors are going to come stab out the eyes of their first born child, lawsuits, jail, FBI, etc.. it just gets really really silly. |
