Confuse them enough to follow my way of thinking that some people in SL are overweight cave dwellers? But they could just as easily figure that out for themselves, just by looking at profiles... I never said "some" werent. I am sure SOME are. You are trying to change the point you were trying to prove. And this is the last I will speak of it. Okay .. Lets see what does an average programmer make 65K annual? How many programmers are hired by SL? Attacks are bad, however do we not have defense to counter these???? I do not know and would like to understand why this happens?? I pay over $125 a month now to enjoy my "little time" in Second LIFE. . I DEMAND we received a CREDIT THIS MONTH for all of this TIME DOWN !! ! Please Amend your customers, Linden Lab.! _____________________

These are the days I wish SL has an off-line sandbox, that would allow people to build even while SL is down and upload them asap when it's back up. I just woke up with a few good building ideas for houses to make, but with SL being down, I could actually feel those good ideas slowly disappear...x_x Perhaps you could try using Google Sketchup during the downtime to record your ideas before they float away. _____________________

Although DoS'ing the New York Times is objectively similar to crashing the SL grid, is SL really established as something hugely important that's worthy of like, jails and lawsuits? I really don't believe so. I mean, you've gotta use your judgement here. Something huge that tons and tons of people rely on for valuable information is a bit different than you losing connectivity to THE DONG GAME for a couple hours It becomes patently obvious that there are members of our SL community WHO JUST DON'T GET IT!!! Second Life is NOT A GAME!!! Second Life is an ON LINE COMMUNITY!! To some it is a pastime to others a commercial opportunity and Yes to Some it is a place to show off how little regard they have for the rights and Property - Real, Intellectual or Ethereal - of others! The bottom line is some Moron feels that he or she have the right/power to disrupt this world at will! They are most likely using an ALT (unless they are just plain stupid), and next week will be back again with a new insulting or defaming moniker to plan thier next attempt to bring attention to themselves! As for Mr. Maltz' comment.. Lets put this in perspective - How do you differentiate between what needs to be protected by laws in the PHYSICAL WORLD.. Perhaps you would feel differently if your home was robbed and the Police said.. Well you arent important so we aren't going to enforce that law! Laws don't differentiate arbitrarily.. they are enforced universally. Is the robbery of a tiny bank in Lower Podunk any different than say the Federal Reserve Bank? As one read through these 14 pages of comments one other thing becomes obvious and reinforces my original statement (This is NOT a Game). Just as in the Physical world, most people have no purpose to speak other than to hear thier own voices and as a rule offer little more than useless noise. |

The last time this happened, just the other day, my ZHAO with thousands of Lindens worth of accumulated animations in it vanished apparently from all existance in the crash. I wonder what I'm going to lose this time?  |

Angel, I Do See His Point. If I Paid $125 A Month For SL, I Would Be Just As Pissed As Him Right Now. Paying That Much A Month, Wow, I Would Expect To Quality. Not Constant Crashes And Such.
