How does me (or other creative people) spending countless hours to learn how to do things keep someone who spends countless hours not learning how to do things in a "state of near total oppression"? This logic is a flaming bag of poo. Stinky poo.

Actually, it is true. There's a wonderful book which I'd highly recommend you read called "Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain". One of the things the author ponts out is that virtually all young children draw with the same ability. In fact, from a compositional standpoint, the drawings of most toddlers are equally as "good" as those of accomplished masters. Obviously, the technique of a 2-year old is not going to rival that of a learned artist, but the sense of composition is there, and so is the potential to learn technique. It's something we're all born with.

Here's some anecdotal evidence for the above... when I was in kindergarten the school called my parents and recommended I see a therapist because I always drew my stick people with no arms! Obviously I wasn't born with talent, hehe.

I'm not being oppressed, so I must be a lord. Perhaps I shall make myself a splendiferous palace from which to lord over my peasants. Wait, which peasants are mine? Can I just seize the ones nearest me and have them do my bidding? Wait again! Apparently these peasants aren't good for anything but tringo and thong modeling. What they heck do I need them for? This is so confusing. Can I use my peasants as currency to pay other lords to do useful things for me? (Like build a splendiferous palace)

I know that sometimes getting your name on Page 1 requires a bit of divisiveness and trolling, but I'm sure you can do better than this. This isn't even worthy of blaze.

There seems to be an impression that all of the so called "peasants" are wallowing in self-pity at not having achieved whatever definition of success you have for yourself. I don't see that being as wide spread as you think it is.

Additionally, many of us are working very hard at RL and don't really feel a need to replicate that in SL.
