In closing, some people have no problems with folks different from them, as long as they're clearly marked in large red letters and about 5 miles away from them at all times.

It's important to know where the gay is. I once got some gay on me and man, it's hard to get that smell out of your clothes.

Homophobia = fear of other people their lifstyle/culture

Same goes for racism.

If you're afraid of Milk then you should be VERY afraid.
Because this is THE milkbottle talking.

I'm so pale irl that my friends think that i might start to glow when i stand under a blacklight.

I promised myself to get a tan this year :)

Hey and no laughing with people who's native isn't english.

English isn't my first language either...and sure I do sound a little like Apu from the simpsons when I speak english irl. (aspecialy when I force a brittish accent)

But my english is quite nice for 22 year old girl who teached herself some decent english...and all that with internet.

So now my english is quite good.

The first words that I learned on the internet was 'enlarge' and 'discount'

:D

Who has the right to decide that my horizons "need broadening" though?

I am what I am,

First you mentioned your discotheque, and now you're quoting Gloria Gaynor.

Just an observation. :D

Your English is excellent. However, this sentence kind of scares me, as I think you've just summed up English-speaking society quite well with it.

SUPER SIZE IT, but MAKE IT CHEAP! :)

Another paragraph of garbage - I can't respond to you when you don't address me in a language I can understand, and as I've already said I only speak English.

Obtuse.

That's a word in your language, right?

*sigh* more emphasis on sex.

Lewis

Isn't there a forum rule against posting for no purpose other than just flame the original poster (even if it is subtle)? That's all he posted! What did he expect to gain by posting this?

Lindens do your job!

What? did god ever say gay men are wrong?

This kinda sounds like terrorists : 'oh western' people and their culture are wrong , lets kill them!'

So when the pope says 'god doesn't support pale people'

Will you hate me then because i'm pale?

I can be tanned but i'm pale...will people there for hate me because i'm not tanned like them?

You see...it's hating people that aren't like you.
Wich is wrong.

Oh, I agree with what you're saying, don't get me wrong, I was just trying to explain Linden Lab's position on the issue. And to play devil's advocate a bit farther, let's face it: if a teen *really* wants porn, there's much more extreme (and, well, real) stuff out on the web and file sharing networks for them. SL's offering is a cartoonish proximity in comparison (that's not to say that the power of imagination can't make that cartoonish proximity go a long way for interested parties!).

Yeah.. I know. You know, it is not really the teens finding porn that bothers me. When I was a teen I found it and we didnt even dream of the internet yet lol.
These kids on myspace are so quick to say "My name is mary jane and I go to first school of the oblivious in visit me, insert state here" concern me. That mentality coupled with a free realm to chat it up sexually is a concern.
LL can do MUCH More to help with that but they are much more concerned with getting those million members. The greed is outweighing the responsibility.
As parents, my wife and I go out of our way to monitor our teen's web usage. I know that is not always the case and I am not gonna shake my finger at the parents who dont. I just find it so odd that a Teen must provide verification to go to the teen grid, yet only need an email address to enter the M world.

Yes, he did, and then he said stone anyone that would try to sway you against him... even if its your brother. All there, black and White, old testimant... which most Bible Thumping Christians never actually heed... Now Jesus, he never says anything about gay people... New Testimant...

I love it when people correct the news on the 'not a game business. I know if I was interviewed, I'd admit its a game.

Actually...this is not correct. The passage so many people like to quote concerning gays was mistranslated intentionally by King James to refer to men being with men. The original quote actually referred to the sin of an Isrealite laying with a Temple Priestess of Baal, a God of the Canaanites. As well, the popular culture has created a false view that Sodom and Gomorrah were punished by the Old Testament God for being homosexual or taking part in homosexual acts. When in truth Sodom and Gomorrah were punished for the grave sin of Inhospitality, for their assault on someone who was sheltering under thier roof.

Heh, and let's not even get started on the King James translation of Leviticus! Every time I mention those translated passages to someone who uses the King James translation of a work of oral tradition as "the word of God", the typical response is, "Oh, that's old testiment, it doesn't count. Only new testament counts!" :)

The main problem in many cases is that many modern bigots have been born out of translations and interpretations done millenia ago by people with agendas driven by fear, after being blinded and brainwashed by modern people with agendas driven by fear.

I dont know anyone that thinks S&G were punished for homosexuality, but just for masses of sin piled on themselves, even beyond the inhospitality... I mean, he did offer them his virgin daughter. Regardless, the only mention of it, In current publish, without older versions and the lost books, is in the old Testimant. The Old testiment is not followed completely by todays society, making it worthless as a religious doctrine.
