If I were your pal you seem to blindly come to the aid of (are you the friend who bought the video card?), I'd be reporting this...and have you read anything you pal has written in this thread? Apparently not. :)

Sorry I am a native English person and I'm pretty ignorant of other languages, could you write that again please - but in English?

Maybe you should stick to you PG land. There is a reason why there are different ones, so we don't have to listen to people like you.

I have campaigned for Linden Lab to release more PG land, but they don't seem to accept that there is a demand for it. I looked earlier for a decent size plot and the only one I could find was "gently sloped" - read 45 degrees.

Back to the topic.. glad to see SL getting different types of press. Maybe then someone will make a competing platform that works more often then not :P

But most publicity is either based around sex or making money. Why isn't everything else being promoted?

.. out of everything she said you focus on one frigging negative thing.. why don't you give her cred for the other shit than point out she overacted about the pics...

wow quick to bite back aren't you? How about this, if you read through her post, like I did, she said the problem with the link (which is the topic being argued right now) is the advertisements. She had made no reference to the actual article at all. So I what I was commenting on was not the "friggin negative thing". It was the one and only complaint she had about the link in question. please, don't try to start a fight.

Problem with that assessment of the article is that the article wasn't all about sex nor are the sims and community it was describing "all about sex" let alone "about sex above all other considerations", which is precisely the issue the first posters had with Lewis's comment. Then it turned out he hadn't bothered to read the article before pronouncing it to be "all about sex".

He then went one step far and what I would consider into homophobic and certainly intolerant territory by suggesting that people with sexual gender preferences and lifestyles different than his own should be labeled thusly as well as any parcels in world that would be tolerant of them. That is where he went far afield and smacks of deep intolerance, (segregation, apartheid, yellow stars sewn on clothing, all sharing a base mentality of intolerance).

But let me try to show you another side.. He has that right.. As long as it doesn't effect anyone directly. how someone responds to it is their fault.. but than again you have the right to have nothing to do with anyone that acts like a bigot...

me thinks you are a bigot too

Maybe follow that up with more thought then enlarging and bolding my own text? Maybe even address more than part of a sentance? Or even, I dunno, actually read some of his bloody posts.

I am against people who force their views onto others. I personally am an agnostic, but I don't try to convice christians that there might not be a god. I personally don't engage in sex in SL, go to clubs, ect ect but I don't berade the people who do. There is a large difference there.

Don't you love it how when you are making a point using a hypothetical situation or the same language some one else is using there is always one person who doesn't get it in a one plus one equals two kind of way?

I doubt your PG discotec that no one goes to most likely due to your attitude then anything else will see press coverage anytime soon.

Wait? Wasn't the 70's full of sex and drugs and the music a reflection of the attitude?

Finding that on the first page put me off reading the rest of the article.

It's not "homophobia", that implies a fear. I have no fear of homosexuality, just choose not to be involved in it.

Be very careful what you accuse people of.

Lewis

Wow. You are amazingly clueless. I would respond with more details, but I doubt you would "get it".

Wow, now you're just playing stupid. I'm a dual citizen, US and UK (nice try, however, to dodge), so here, I'll even do it in British English for you:

Is that easier for you? Or you going to dodge again? I could even say something like "its a mitre to the centre of my favourite colour spectrum" if it'll make you feel more at home.

I could accuse many people of 'discophobia' because they have never visited my seventies themed nightclub. Unfortunately, disco doesn't get special preferential treatment and protection.

Lewis

Perhaps because the law doesn't see a difference between types of dance the way it does between different views on sexual orientation.

BTW, just so everyone knows it I am totally bias against stupid people that think with their hearts or their faith before thinking with their heads.

Considering only a tiny percentage of the active playerbase read the forums, I don't think that's anything to do with it.

I would suggest that, before passing judgment on something I have built to provide entertainment for other players, you actually take a moment to visit it first.

Its kind of sad. A lot of times people don't realize the things that they are implying until you raise a hypothetical circumstance or apply what they said to a different meaning such as you did when replying about labelling land to inform that bigots live there.

Why Lewis don't you do the same thing? Isn't that what you were suggesting in labelling land properties?

err Not really.

If you were Lewis - the one i keep defending when he makes mistakes - then you would report me for my personal attacks on you (still lewis), because thats what lewis does (reports me apparently). Have I read anything Lewis has written in this topic? Apparently not.

You've totally lost me now

I have no clue what you're trying to say.

If something is labelled as a "combat zone", I won't go there because gunplay doesn't interest me. But that's talking about the principle, rather than saying "that place is badly designed", which would be a first hand experience.

The post to which I referred implied that my disco doesn't get visitors because I own it, rather than because of what it is.

What I am saying is that you would pre-judge a gay establishment (that may or may not at some point in time have avatars having av sex) and not go there and that is ok, but when someone applies that same sort of logic against you and your establishment, you get all up in arms.
