From: Magnum Serpentine Inquisitions, attacking and killing Witches (In one city almost 95% of the population was killed by christians because they thought they were witches) Killing Pagans, etc etc etc The witch hunts, being generous, might account for a half a million. More reliable numbers place it at somewhere around a hundred thousand. The inquisition can add about another thirty thousand to that. So, we're up to, what... Being VERY generous we'll say 10 million, up from 9. That's still a bit less than 2 billion, or 1 billion, or 100 million.

From: Magnum Serpentine The Reason why its Relevant is that the Rich did NOT EARN THEIR MONEY... same argument you are making to keep the poor from receaving money directly from those top 5% who make 95% more money than the rest of the nation How is it relevent if they earned it or not? You still haven't actually answered that question. And no, it's not the same reason I'm against wealth distribution - I'm against wealth distribution because it is theft.

Can you honestly say you know for a fact they did not earn their money. Some people work hard to earn what they have, some people barely work to earn it.... but stating ALL rich people don't earn their money is a huge generalization and just sounds like you hate rich people. Then again, I hate rich people... but I'm aware that its just irrational jealousy.

From: Magnum Serpentine I get 600 a month in Disability. Do not attack me personally. Please. Oh dear god.. I replied to a blathering idiot who can't understand metaphor or point by example. Read it again, that was not an attack in any way, shape, or form. It was an example by way of drawing you into your own argument to explain what exactly is wrong with stealing from the rich. Your response to that means only one of two possibilities. 1. You purposefully ignored my point to TRY and make it look like a personal attack to garner sympathy for you and your 'cause.' (which anyone with half a brain will see though this ploy) or 2. You really are that dumb to miss something that obvious, and are completely incapable of discussing anything in a forum. Frankly, either #1 or #2, it doesn't matter, you've proven all subsequent statements by you invalid and without merit.

First all you republicans say that the rich earned their money. I have proven that they did not. and worst that many don't even know where their money came form. You stated that receaving money not earned was bad yet I have pointed out that your beloved Gods, the Rich did just that receaved money not earned. And its not Theft its making things even. You want people to work, yet many of those old money don't even lift a finger, did not earn their money and worst don't even know where their billions and billions of dollars came from.

Actually I'm a democrat not that it really means much. I'm a democrat who believes in helping our fellow man but not in forcing others to help against their will. From: someone I have proven that they did not. You did? Where? I must have missed it. I know you SAID it.... *looking again to see where you PROVED it*.

From: Magnum Serpentine First all you republicans say that the rich earned their money. I have proven that they did not. and worst that many don't even know where their money came form. I say SOME rich earned their money. This is true. You, on the other hand, have proven nothing. Proof requires, well, proof. All you have done is said the same thing over and over. To repeat something I told you a few days ago, repeated denial of reality does not make fantasy fact - the corralary to that is, repeated statement of opinion does not make fantasy reality. You have yet to conclusively proove that a single rich person didn't earn their money, much less rich people as a whole. Further, what difference does it make if they did or did not? From: Magnum Serpentine You stated that receaving money not earned was bad yet I have pointed out that your beloved Gods, the Rich did just that receaved money not earned. I worship God. However I do think that if you're very very rich, no matter how hard you did or didn't work for your money, if you don't use some to help those less fortunate than you..... you are going to hell. *looks pointedly at Mr. Gates and asks to see his charity records*

Don't you dare call me an Idoit. Thats slander Libel actually. And to be honest, it's a printed opinon, not a statement of fact, so it doesn't even qualify as libel. Regardless, your ploy is called and revealed as false. Though common sense is deplorably lacking in this world, I can at least rest easy with the thought that people who would share your opinon are in the great minority. Anyone can see through you and know your ideas hold no merit. Now, your lack of thought or openness, thinly veiled threats, and outright attempt at manipulating anyone reading this thread has earned you the dubious honor of being ignored. Company you will keep with just one other person, so do not think I do this lightly. But after careful thought, I have decided that you really are just not worth my time, no matter how brief.

This is a brief summary that was current as of 2000, I dont have anything more recent on hand: From: http://www3.sympatico.ca/truegrowth/gates1.html $1 billion over 20 years to establish the Gates Millennium Scholarship Program, which will support promising minority students through college and some kinds of graduate school. $750 million over five years to the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization, which includes the World Health Organization, the Rockefeller Foundation, Unicef, pharmaceutical companies and the World Bank. $350 million over three years to teachers, administrators, school districts and schools to improve America’s K-12 education, starting in Washington State. $200 million to the Gates Library Program, which is wiring public libraries in America’s poorest communities in an effort to close the “digital divide.” $100 million to the Gates Children’s Vaccine Program, which will accelerate delivery of lifesaving vaccines to children in the poorest countries of the world. $50 million to the Maternal Mortality Reduction Program, run by the Columbia University School of Public Health. $50 million to the Malaria Vaccine Initiative, to conduct research on promising candidates for a malaria vaccine. $50 million to an international group called the Alliance for the Prevention of Cervical Cancer. $50 million to a fund for global polio eradication, led by the World Health Organization, Unicef, Rotary International and the U.N. Foundation. $40 million to the International Vaccine Institute, a research program based in Seoul, South Korea. $28 million to Unicef for the elimination of maternal and neonatal tetanus. $25 million to the Sequella Global Tuberculosis Foundation. $25 million to the International AIDS Vaccine Initiative, which is creating coalitions of research scientists, pharmaceutical companies and governments in developing countries to look for a safe, effective, widely accessible vaccine against AIDS.

Theft = bad.
How is taking something from someone against their will not theft? And you do not address the fact that many of the upper rich (Top 3%) do not even know where their money came from and did nothing to earn it.

I found a 20$ bill between the seats of my car once. I have no idea where it came from. I could CHOOSE to give it to someone who needed but by your logic you're saying anyone who needs it has the right to reach in my car and just take it. Yea see there's laws against that, it's called stealing.

What does it matter if they know where it comes from or not? Or if they earned it? I want to see a source for that statistic, by the way.
