Its up to you to ensure that text you want to remain private does so; its not Linden Lab's job. In other words, only cyberscrew people you trust to keep it private, or you're doing so at your own risk. I can sympathize with people getting used, but if you're that sensitive, it might be time to consider another career path. I have spoken with Jeroen several times in world and have discussed some of my misgivings with him. As I expressed to him, my concerns about this are subjectivity, fairness and balance, as well as the potential for it to be used maliciously to take advantage of an escort or club through blackmail etc.
His very first sentence in the review on Wednesday, February 22, 2006 is a good example of my concern as to whether or not there will be subjectivity, fairness and balance in his reviews: <b> “I thought a good review of a Barbie would look nice, next to the new advertisement on the right. So I informed here and there and was pointed to (name withheld)” </b> Time well tell whether girls from places that pay money to advertise on the web site and girls from places that do not pay money to advertise on the web site are treated with the same criteria and fairness. Time will also speak of Jeroen’s motives. Whether the web site amounts to merely a silly sleazy gossip site or a true community service remains yet to be seen. Subjectivity, fairness and balance are imparative. |

But like a lot of critics in RL who shill and give rave reviews to just about anything, people will learn whether he has a balanced service or not. I don't really think so. Professionalism is not really the vibe I get out of the site, but it remains damn funny to read (intentional or not). EDIT: If anyone is interested, I'm available for Sleestak Domination Play. My problem with the site is that what he is reviewing is completely subjective. His preferences (which seem to lean towards being a sub, along with other things) may not be other people's preferences. I see that he really prefers people to do short, quick sentences one after another really fast. Personally, that kind of thing just gets me annoyed since I can't get a word in. I like long, well crafted descriptions.
The best thing he could do would be to report on what happened, give an accuracte depiction of how they worked, and let the readers decide whether or not that type of style is attractive to them. The ratings thing is pretty meaningless, unless you have the exact same preferences as he does. Anyway, those are just my opinions about the website. He can do whatever he wants to on a third party site. If they start the precedence of banning people due to what they say about SL outside of it, then it will get close to time to jump ship. _____________________
