I agree. They just give back what they took away, however in most cases where the word 'compensation' is used, its used as a term for some kind of bonus or 'extra'.

People used to get all excited about their "free day" when it wasn't anything extra to what they had paid for.

You are indeed granted access to this rant by paying your monthly fees. So they are providing you with a service. Just not an Xciting one.. Excuse the pun there. Had to do it.. Bitching and whining really is not going to get anyone anywhere fast, but granted if the situation is as bad as I have seen today and last week, people are going to get pissed off, especially the ones that have in-game financial interests that this aflicts. We Europeans are also going to feel agrieved because of the fact that this happens in our evenings, and most Europeans can not play earlier because of work commitments, while the Americans/Canadians and South Americans can at least for the most part miss most of the inconvenience because of being in work. There really is little point yelling here, unless it is done through structure constructive argument, just saying you are pissed off by this is not helping.

Actually the U.S isnt all one time zone and it is evening in my time zone too. I am EST not PST.

But so will Eastern Time Zone residents. It's 8pm for them now. Assuming the natural bedtime is between 9-10 for average workers, they probably won't get to log on either, and in fact, they never even got a CHANCE to log in, whereas the majority of European players had been logged in at least for a few hours.

STOP WHINING! As I recall the last several updates went off with NO major issues and the grid was up before the estimated time.

I'm no rocket scientist but despite all the efforts of LL to assure a quality - glitch free - update until it is deployed under full load there are things that can (and occassionally will) go wrong.

Stop whining... I come here to Get Away from the whiners!

Lets applaud LL for continuing to work to provide a great platform.. obviously you agree or you wouldnt be so unhappy on the occassions that its down!

As I recall the last several updates went off with NO major issues and the grid was up before the estimated time. I'm no rocket scientist but despite all the efforts of LL to assure a quality - glitch free - update until it is deployed under full load there are things that can (and occassionally will) go wrong. Stop whining... I come here to Get Away from the whiners! Lets applaud LL for continuing to work to provide a great platform.. obviously you agree or you wouldnt be so unhappy on the occassions that its down! Hands you a tissue with some cheese! QUIT WHINING ABOUT WHINING!
