oright who was the "genious" that thought that was a good plan? of all the probs we have on this game this recent update includes somethin that 2 me is an invasion of privacy. who's business is it who pays 4 wha wit their account? wha gives everyone in SL the right 2 know who pays wha n why?

there go the hackers lookin 2 have some fun: "o snap they have payment info on file !!! lemme get 2 work now" n sry no matter how many times ppl say hackers cant hack u thru the game im not gonna believe it cause there r always new things n new programs comin out doin more damage.

this is 1 thing that im highly disappointed wit. n yeah some ppl will say: "well its not like they givin out credit card info or name, rank n serial number" but thas not the point 2 me. the point 2 me is that somethin as realistic as that should NOT b put in a "game" where lawd only kno whos playin. this move by Linden in my opinion sux @$$ big time. all the other bugs that we all gotta deal wit while playin n i dont see mention of them bein fixed but then they go n add somethin new thas not even necessary.

sry but Linden u blew it this time. two thumbs down n a whole new way of thinkin how stuff is handled in Linden Labs.

We need such information and scripts as a way to allow people more control over filtering who gets on their land, I'm sorry but all my adult products WILL NOT sell to anyone that doesnt have payment records in their profile.

I think it's a good idea to try to keep people who haven't proven they're over the age of 18 to be kept away from Mature sims. I keep being shot at by all these newbies in Nova Albion, and it's rather annoying.

Its nice to imagine that there will at least be a few places that non-subscribing residents won't be able to reach us and shoot us half-way across a sim with their freebie weapons.

The reason this happened is because people we're complaining about potintial griefers with the new reg system. This way people know who to keep an eye on or something, I guess. So who's bright idea was this? Ours.

while i used my credit card and the likes, this is what bothers me, not every 18-21 year old gets credit card access, it;s not a simple "yes i live in a dorm, i'm unmarried, barely scrapping by with rent, and that's why i should have a credit card" and you;re given access, you have to be finiacially stable, so now all of a sudden you're saying that if you don't have the funds to show the world you pay for an account, you;re not allowed access to lands

more over I laughed at the comment "I'm not going to jail because some teenager can by my adult product" the onus wouldn;t be on you, they bought the product themselves under the guise they are of age and provided false information

this does nothing to stop the influx of children coming to sl, and never will, many teens (see any other online game) simply use their parents credit card, this is a poor half assed attempt, and only discriminates against those who aren;t financially solid

many of the complaints are teenagers and greifers, and solid complaints they are, but I'm sure LL could put a stop on scripted objects (weapons) and the likes (adult toys such as xcite)

Its not for every Tom, Dick, and Harry to know who pays and who doesn't. Can we say invasion of privacy!! Yuppers I think we can. And if your so worried about who you're selling your products to then my advice to you is don't sell, geesh who would've ever thought of that one. Its not your business if they pay for their account or they don't. You don't like it oh well find a new venture. Linden you made a big booboo.

One comment: Debit cards get issues by banks for checking accounts. FREE checking accounts. Be as solid as you want, I use a debit card myself.

Payment methods put hurdels in the way of people trying to get into a game their not suppost to be in, I dont care if a few kids get alchohole, tobacco and fire arms, the fact is the ID check methods have kept it out of most kids reach.

I dont care if 10% of SL is underage kids using credit cards given to them by their families, thats the fault of the parents and they can be blammed.... opening the gates up just because a few get through allows parents to blame linden labs! I will NOT stand for it, nor will I be AFRAID to have sex with my mate simply because a minor might overhear!
