New Trend of GROUP Banning

If you care so little for the land you were banned from, why is this an issue?

I'm crushed that some child in a BSDM group has banned me. Now I can't partake in bondage online. I'm really going to miss that.

Allowing your prejudices to shine through like this does not aid your case in the slightest.

I'm trying to run a furry community here. To me this isn't a FPS game. If someone wishes to do shit like grief inocent users they should go play Halo Multiplayer. When they decide to act like a adult then they can play SL. I take this VERY SERIUSLY because i live work and socialize here. IMO those who get off on ruining peoples businesses by smearing poop all over their furnature and shooting up clubs and social gatherings DON'T NEED TO BE HERE!

I really doubt it would be 9 times out of 10, but at least some people -might- be understanding once someone is no longer in a particular group.

Sure I do up to a point. I was once recently verbally assaulted and physically intimidated (in RL) in the parking lot of my apartment building for having the nerve to try to park in my own parking space while a large group of guys was standing around in it drinking. Now it was only one of them who swore at and threatened me, but I'm smart enough to now avoid the whole group. I have to park my car on my street until the landlords are finished with the eviction process to get rid of these people (for many other things they do btw). And guess what, they're not evicting one, they're evicting all of them.

I've banned the OP and his groups for crimes against fur.

just from the way the perps are posting here makes me want to ban there asses from my sims. 4 private islands and a full sim on main land not much but its a start any one else wana come on board and ban these ass hats.

If someone has banned your group because of a few dickheads in said group, perhaps they are right to ban you; you're obviously a group that isn't run well enough to keep dickheads out.

Funny that Kilian would be reported along with cptpicard potvin. Seems he was trying to grief my tower when there were a couple furries there.

Same here, crucial. For someone who is so free with calling other people "children", the guy loves to blubber and whine.

I'd ban his group myself but I'm not sure we have the room on the list. Time to clean up the deactivated accounts I guess.

The lesson to be learned here: Groups can be held accountable for the actions of their members. It's how human societies work. But more importantly, publicly arguing over it using moronic counterpoint "logic" is not a good way to resolve the issue.

For other groups out there: Most of you are just collections of friends. But some of you are organized for a specific purpose. If you don't want to have your entire group held responsible for a few pricks, first be cautious about who you induct, and then be pro-active about reminding your members that their actions reflect on the entire group. Groups whose leadership is accountable to the general SL public when something like this happens can go a long way to keeping their good name. It beats the hell out of snivelling on the forums.

If you want to avoid group banning there are two things you can do.

1. Leave a group if you feel that it's not managed well.
2. If you're the group leader, take care in selecting and maintaining members.

I hardly play SL anymore; but I think Ill log in and ban the group just because I can.

Hoping LL raises the Ban List limit or adds teh ability to actually ban by groups on lands.

I don't care who does what to others most times, but posting here was asinine. Yes, I look unfavorably on groups for actions of individuals. While I did not witness anything done to Yaffle's sim, I'd ban this group simply for the actions of the OP in this thread.

And the fact that I've read numerous postings from Yaffle and respect him for intelligent thought and for the things he does for teh community. I do believe Yaffle gives out freebies of PvP scripts, and other things. I personally got the 455 gesture pack. So his word alone carries wieght in the SL community.

Hunh, imagine that. A positive reputation built over time with respect and integrity paid off.

Well, if this "logic" spreads, that's basically handing griefers a new way to fuck things up for innocent people. Join a small group, raise hell in number of sims while wearing their tag, laugh all way to the bank as the group members all get banned essentially for not having premonition powers, while you switch to another group to continue your merry "play"...

Each of those are groups that exist in RL. As you read them, didn't you have a reaction to each of them? If somebody came up to you and said, "I am a member of X group" would not your first reason be based on that group and your feelings towards it?

You were caught by an above posted greifing a sim. They did not randomly pick some name and group out of thin air; they caught you in the act. Your name name is associated with that group. As a result, that group is now tarnished because of those actions.

If you don't like that, I would suggest playing nice from now on, or making a new group and hiding its existance and membership.

In either case, yes, you do shun a group because members of that group wronged you. Just as you will welcome those members of a group where the group has helped/benefited you.

You are judged by company you keep. Don't like that? Find new company.
