This actually makes me happy... When LL doesnt care about the amount of grief done to warrent a ban, the community takes over and deals one out.

I'm an admin at the land in question and I was present for the griefing... There were bombs present from two people, I can't name the other person but they were a member of your group as well, as far as I know you two are banned, not the entire group. Yes, we found R2 bombs that belonged to you. We turned off scripts and res premission and cleaned up... you were at fault, or someone hijacked your account and started griefing... You sort it out. (I shouldn't even be up this late but meh, I needed water, need to check my email as something nice was sent and then I get a message through SL about this in my email, thats why I'm here) Pictures? Anything? No? Ban me from YOUR land, I don't care. I don't know who you are, or what you're talking about. So you can feel free to ban me from your land. But call off your little attack dog with his list passing it out to other people when I haven't done anything. |

I'm 23, and the reason there's a court of law, and the reason that LL ignores most of you, is because you NEED proof. Without it I could point my finger and say YOU are a griefer. I can replace the names in any of these griefer threads with YOUR name, instantly to morons, you are now guilty. Grow up if you're too simple minded to understand why proof is necessary. Why the hell should random people be allowed to cry wolf without a simple screenshot? It's not hard or asking too much to hit snapshot. The majority of these threads are just people trying to start drama, I can see most of you must be bored, because there's no reason for all this finger pointing. If I really did these things, I would've been banned from the game by now. I didn't, and that's why nothing is going to happen. *YAWNS* and really sleeps this time |

You do realize no "proof" is needed beyond a Linden checking the logs to see if you did indeed rez such objects and do as has been reported, yes? Your demand for "proof" needs to be made to a Linden, as they are the ones holding the "proof". This is not a court of law. This is a commmunity. Gain a bad name in a community and you are outta luck. "Proof" is never required for one friend to tell another friend "This guy did XYZ, I suggest banning him." And they are perfectly within their right to do so. Best way to avoid this sort of bad word of mouth is to not do something that might cause someone to be upset enough to spread the bad word of mouth to friends. If you are indeed being wrongly accused, as you claim, I suggest you take the issue up with a Linden to clear your name through an investigation of the logs, as they are the ones who hold the "proof". LL hasn't banned me, if I did all these things I'm sure I'd be locked out of my account for atleast 3 days. There's your proof. |

Whatever, anyone who listens to 'Yuffy Yaffle' with no proof isn't someone I'd want to know anyway.
Continue on children, randomly ban people from your land, once you're done with that you have nothing else you can do but look for more people to ban. Must make you feel powerful online or something. Have fun. |

Why should anyone ever feel comfortable making friends if that friend might turn out to be a creep? Might as well be asking the same question, its the same logic. No one has said don't join groups or don't make friends. People have said choose your groups and choose your friends carefully and be willing to walk away if you think you made a bad choice. _____________________

The lindens dont ban/ warn/ suspend every person who is attacking others, they look for the big repeated attacks. It takes about 3 reports from 3 differant people to get the lindens to step in and do something... I do not own the land, let me make that clear, and I did not ban you myself, but I did lead the land owner to your unexploded bomb loaded with its payload of mean scripts... the fact that the two of us saw it, and your friends, is good enough. |

I have no knowledge at all of the situation mentioned. But, I am reading the posts, and I must say that just based on the posts I have seen here in the forums tonight, you are your own worst enemy. Best thing you could do to come out better here...speaking as a truly impartial observer...is stop posting. Just my view as an outsider. _____________________

The way I figure it is this...If you don't want to be mass banned, choose your friends wisely and the groups you associate with. I wouldn't give a rat's buttocks if your "friends" and thier associated group bombed me and you were innocent...you're getting banned too.

Since I haven't yet been banned like that, I guess my question is this: If one quits one of those groups that have been banned, are they still banned--if so, your parallel to real life doesn't work AT ALL. If I find out a friend is a creep, I can drop that friend and make amends with those around me. There's nothing saying you can't do that here too. You leave the group, you contact the property owner for the place you want to visit and explain. 9 times out of 10 they'll unban you and give you a second chance. For the occasional person who doesn't, you chalk it up to a lesson learned. _____________________

If you do, you must be a child. If I shun'd everyone around me for being associated with someone I felt wronged me, I'd be a very lonely person. I'd rather continue keeping my close friends than appeasing some know-it-alls who can't provide one shred of evidence beyond hearsay. |

Here are the facts. 1.) Land owner was present. 2.) Several admins were present. 3.) it was during an event, several people were present. Baring witness is PROOF in this countries courts. Snapshot? pfft, I can edit those with ease... Logs? Sure... if you did say something while bombing us! PVP report? Oh Im sorry PVP reporting was gone at this point in time! So basically, what if someone did get a screen shot? Oops, UI in screenshot was clicked under debug! The fact is, even with scripts disabled most of the bombs poofed seconds after we checked them for names, server lag or the script was in mid execution, I dont know or care, but the fact is more than the landowner and myself saw it. Witnesses are proof. He owns a SIM, why would he lie or pick on you? I do not gain a thing if I were lying right this moment, why would I? I suggest that if you have a friend with your password (I dunno, to double box slingo or camping chairs? *shrug* ) you kick the crap out of them, or you make your password harder to guess (if you honestly didnt do it) people already have your username since we cant change it from first and last name... all thats left is guessing your password. did you link to myspace and use some part of your website, home address or band name? maybe someone went through your myspace then.... We all know though, the "little brother" excuse doesnt fly Goodnight, Im done with this |

Ok e-thug, because my group had 9 people in it that means what? It was a REAL group, not a random invite group. 9 friends who know each other. I'm sorry if that escapes you. No, the ones of you who pretend like real people aren't on the other end of the screen need to grow up. You all can whine and point fingers with no proof, but then I can't turn around, and say something about it? Please, learn to actually *read*. And then, stop posting.
