(btw... not naming any names but to those who hide behind freedom of speech and brutal honesty, this is for you. *gasp* it IS possible to speak your mind and point out to people harsh realities and truths without insulting people. Its called maturity.
Look, people like Lewis and Coco et al have valid concerns. However Im quite happy that LL is doing something like this, its never happened in any game Ive played before. As much as I cross my fingers though, I highly doubt anything excellent will come of it.
When did FIC become as disturbing as fucktard? FIC certainly doesnt ring as poorly to me as the other. *shrug*
The point is, this could be a good thing. We can cross our fingers I suppose. I just wish LL would have chosen a variety of players who represent ALL walks of SL life as it seems to me that it really isnt that diverse of a crowd - I most certainly could be wrong. Do i want to be chosen? Hell no. Do I wish it was a wider representation of the community? Hell yes.

You might well imagine I would, being one of the people a group of others has long considered it perfectly okay - i.e., "telling it like it is" - to say bad things about. The "you" was generic (though you were part of this problem of telling the newbies who don't agree with you that they should "be careful" . It wasn't about a newbie disagreeing with Flipper, and that only positive opinions are permitted. Jennyfur, I keep trying to explain to her that what I say isn't personal to her. Of course it isn't! This process is actually UNFAIR to her, and to others chosen, and I've tried to explain that again and again!
You have yet to show how it is unfair. Nothing was handed to anyone on a platter, a phrase you keep using but which has little meaning. Handing something to someone on a platter means they had to do nothing at all to earn it, and that is just not the case here. Every one of those people chosen have been active, contributing members of SL and have rightfully earned the honor given to them. As Jonquille pointed out, we all signed an application for it when we signed up to SL. What each person does from that point is up to them. What is unfair is for you to continue to say that it is unfair to the people chosen, that they have just been handed something on a platter. That is insulting, and the reason you keep trying to explain it over and over again and are getting nowhere is you are just flat out wrong about it.

Problem is, no one is handing me platters when I come to Second Life. In fact, a whole lot of people don't like me, which I don't understand, because everywhere I went before, people did like me.
Maybe because I had all those platters coming in.
Anyway, I don't know what the deal is with these platters and why I'm not getting them. I'm seeing a lot of other people having a great time and great successes. I'm thinking they must be getting platters of some sort. What's the deal with that, yo? Where be my platter? How come they get all the platters?
