Well it seems their grand ideals can be spouted and then forgotten when it darn well suits them, Leaving those of us who pay the tier, buy stuff, invent stuff and put a lot of our life and time in it to watch it fall to pieces around us. How does one trust a company who says one thing and then when it suits them, they do an about face and do just the opposite? Well one can't. We must all assume by LL's actions, that inspite of their urging our comments and participation in this process, that they have little or no interest in what's best for the residents who have made SL into what it is, but only what will further them in the business world, get advertisers in, make them more money. We are simply the vehicle that got them thus far and now they couldn't care less what becomes of the SL we all knew. Or to the residents who have made it.

1) Client Crashing after a very short use
2) Textures taking forever to Rezz even on quick connections
3) LL Idea to "FIX" slowness is to "Lower Your Settings" Come on... How about Fix the Product
4) No real value to premium account
5) Texture cache doesn’t cache
6) AR's going unanswered
7) Grifers reappearing under new accounts
Open Bugs listed as unassigned for YEARS
9) Policy changes and business models destroyed at LL's whim with no solid facts or accountability.
10) A total lack of TWO WAY communication... They tell us what they are going to do... what we want or need isn't worth a stack of dead hippos to them
10a) Linden Employees that seem to trully care are forced to leave.
11) 25 group limit…. I burned through that in my first 2 weeks
12) No mainland Sim tools to monitor your own land
13) OVERPRICED private sims… come on its the same equipment. Its no where near worth twice the price. Its not even worth half the price

14) Classified search ranking is meaningless
15) Traffic counts are pointless and gamed
16) Content theft with no real enforcement or effectiveness
17) Featured sites are picked by LL and other truly wonderful content is ignored.
1 Updates incompletely tested, with rolling restarts failing and crashing sims
19) Fancy shinnies added to the client and no one needs or wants but the infrastructure is still broken
20) Inventory items vanishing, with no way to back up or recover your items

Were the dialog in this and the other forums is good and for the most part a true representation of the members of this fine community. We are simply adding to the smokescreen to even think that any of it matters… People the bulldozers are at the gates already… we will be given two choices. Give up on SL, abandon all the time & effort we have poured into it. Transferring all your content to LL for them to use as they feel. OR Bend way over…. Grab your ankles… and prepare to have the Rod of LL shoved in to heights unimagined… Nothing we say here will make any difference… nothing we do in SL will make any difference…. All we are to LL is herds of mindless cattle with cash….. you know that insurance company commercial with the stack of cash with eyes… that’s how LL sees us…. So this new continent will be created… LL will decide who moves there and how…. You get age verified how hey decide to or you can play with the rest of the kids in Disney SL.. and LL with decide what the moral standards are… that’s it… anything that’s said here will just add to the frustration and pointlessness of it all

Who is being run out of here? And you speak of a turn around... I'm a member of the sex industry as you call it, and I never told anybody to leave. I don't care what people do and build here, despite my various sensibilities and concerns.

I don't mind if people build churches and mosques here, if they advertise books which promote gender inequality and call minorities an "abomination". I don't mind virtual weapons and combat sims where avatars shoot each other. I can live with anti-minority groups that promote intolerance, and I accept it when the security staff at a nude beach asks transgenders to leave.

Because I'm an adult. I don't need to be "protected" from any audiovisual data or information or people's opinions. And I have learned to accept that feeling offended is a normal human experience. I only need to leave the house in order to be grossed out by a dog turd on the sidewalk, or by fresh bird dung on my car. Disgust is an unavoidable part of life, and only control freaks try to avoid this experience by trying to enforece rules that limit the lives of others.

Burning every bridge you encounter here is not a good way to build community or to ensure a continued pleasurable experience for you in-world. A community of one can get awfully lonely, ya know.

What you are saying is that you can't possibly share this world with certain people and want them done away with. That you can't just stay away from them, that you can't live in peace simply because they exist. That's a very dangerous train of thought imho. People have built detention centers and flown planes into buildings because of this very notion. Can't we just all coexist instead?

The activity this policy impacts is their advertising. The new adult content rules would prevent them from advertising using Native American keywords in general searches without explicitly requesting adult content.
