Just looked at my account page... saw a link for age verification. From: someone Second Life Identity Verification (IDV) is a fast and easy to way to establish your real-world credentials, such as age, real-life location, and name without using a credit card. Through our third party partner, IDV compares the details you provide to various data sources looking for a match - there are no background or credit checks involved. We will not store any of your information; only a code that tells us there was a positive match. Our partner will not keep any identifying information about you. Your information will not be available to anyone in Second Life, and will never be shared. Who's the third party partner? How is this done with "no background or credit checks" ? |

Maybe based on country? I am in Norway

It cant be age, cause Colette is a few months older than me.
I dont know.
But it IS on my page ....
If they add it manually, that can explain why they havent announced it yet. They might wanna wait with doing that till everyone can.

Did you have a credit card on file? If not, then age verification may be added on. If you have one on file, it may be automatic. They couldn't possibly be adding it on manually. There's too many registered accounts.

And by manually i didnt manually-manually, if that makes sense lol. Could be done by a database that has to add it to every account or something.

I've got the link. When you click on it, it simply asks for your date of birth, a urine sample and a retina scan. No big deal.

Used my Driver's License. I'm in Canada but no dice. And they have my credit card info!
