From: someone The Lindens did what they felt was right in response to the situation. Ivan accepted it. We hope there are no unforeseen repercussions, however, if there are we will deal with them accordingly. Our SL's as we know them have NOT come to a horrible end. This is the whole discussion summed up perfectly. No need for Martyrdom, or Imaginary Patriotism, or calls to arms. You two obviously do have your heads on straight. I think this discussion has run it's course, comedy included. Thanks for playing everyone, we have some lovely parting gifts for you in the Green Room. BTW..I was in your furniture store last night. Very nice. I saw many things I would buy if I ever wanted an SL home again.

For those of you who have felt it necessary or appropriate to criticize and make judgements, just realize that one day you too may be in a similar situation.
The basest of the criticism and judgments were made by your supporters, Not those criticizing the situation.

Not those criticizing the situation. CORRECTION: NONE of Ivan and Lexa's friends criticized them. Re-read the thread please. NOTE: 'Basest' is spelled 'basis'.

From: Geaven Gall after reading this whole mess of a thread, i'd sincerely advise ivan and lexa to request that their friends not post in this thread again. their intentions may be good, but boy are they making you look bad by association QFT! I just read this thread and find some of Ivan and Lexa's "supporters" so far out there it's not even funny. You asked for help in understanding LL's decision to change Ivan's name, Sapphire. When people tried to explain it, you became insulating. JerryDonne (misspelled intentionally) was even more insulting, and I've never, ever reported a post on any forum...until today. Ivan and Lexa handled themselves in an admirable manner, and even have a sense of humor about LL's decision. Their friends, however, behaved like children....stomping their feet and pouting because no one started a revolt against Linden Lab and their terrible tyranny. It always amazes me when people start talking about forming a government and courts, inworld I might add, to take on Linden Lab. It's their company.....they own Secondlife OWN it. They make the decisions. Why on earth would SL need a government? It's a dictatorship, simply because it's a company not a country, and will remain one. Face that, accept that or find another world to play on. It's really that simple.

Wow.... I've read this thread and am posting with some trepidation. Seriously, reading some of these posts, reflecting on the state of our country right now, and the fact that it's an electon year, I begin to despair. I guess my hope will be that those who are unable to follow a coherent argument will also be too lazy to vote. I'm something of a Forum newbie, and this has got to be the worst thread I've ever come across, rivalling even our green-haired Troll.

From: Colette Meiji I prefer to think of it as a Tyranny where power is delegated by whoever wears the sequined codpiece. I prefer to think of it as a video game owned and operated for commercial purposes by a private company. But I'm kooky like that. Or it's sort of like a club and they get to set the dress code - you don't like it? Carry on down the street.

I've read to page 4 and it seems like millions of friends of this Ivan person/millions of the OPs alts are just coming out of the woodwork. Personally, I object to a small group of people trying to misuse our beloved forum to try to make a fuss and protest for their friend.
Krispy Kreme has come to the UK atlast. My fairer half has an deep abiding love of all things American, and dragged me to Manchester to the new shop just to buy donuts.
My favourite are the maple syrup topped ones. How 'bout you?

From: Brenda Connolly @ The exchange in post #502..... Right, but it's reassuring in a way. This thread would occasionally set off my troll-detector, or I'd think I caught a whiff of publicity-stunt (see @#83), or a hunch of an elaborate trap to demonstrate the inhuman harshness of these Forums. But then something like #502 would appear, proving this really is just what it seems on the surface. And that's quite disturbing enough.

From: CrazyIvan Oh that's where you are wrong Chris , she did nothing to help the server problem my sim was experiencing at the time, this 4 month member only saw fit to report my name and my problem persists I think what Chris was saying was that the person who changed your name was probably not a software developer and so is not involved in grid stability issues. The structure of LL is a mystery to me, but I find it doubtful that software developers read and act on ARs personally. I'm pretty sure there is a dedicated team of customer service type chaps that do that. Also, as a former Soviet Union submarine commander, I find your new name equally offensive. The vanilla cruller ones are good too, but still not as good as the maple syrup ones.

The one I like best I never actually find. The kreme type, but chocolate (there is the powder donut one with chocolate, but, while I like that, I much prefer the nonpowder). Maybe we have different flavours over here. Note they call it Kreme because they're not allowed to call it cream - it felt like buttercream (butter and icing sugar mixed into a paste). I wasn't impressed with that one. There was one with chocolate and chocolate curls on the top that had chocolate creaminess in the middle. That was good too. The apple and cinnamon one would have been better if it had less cinnamon on the top and more cinnamon in the filling instead.
