A Zindra infohub?

Well... if those new people went to Zindra, they knew ahead of time of what they were going to. You don't enter a porn shop if porn offends you and expect a right to complain when you get offended...

Remember they had to take a number of steps to reach that hub, which result in getting pretty informed.

If it was a mainland infohub though, that's obviously another matter.

The Zindra Infohub has the same rules as other mainland hubs. You can also end up there unintentionally when logging into another location that is unavailable.

It may be fixed now. If it is, who knows how long it will stay fixed.

Well, supposedly if you do NOT have Adult checked, and you crash and wind up somewhere random, it's not supposed to be an Adult hub you end up at. And supposedly if you DO have adult checked, and you crash and end up somewhere random, it SHOULD be an Adult Hub you end up at.

But even the Zindra hub has a "No Nudity" rule. So if you were with your lover when you crashed, and log back in to find yourself at the Zindra info hub, you're STILL in trouble. Just not as much trouble as if you wound up in a PG sim, in the buff.

It seems to refer to "publicly promoted adult activities or content" not private and unadvertised places.

The CS doesn't mention "publicly promoted".

Maturity Definition:
"Any Region must be designated Adult and therefore require account verification, if it advertises or publicly promotes the following..."

Is it really possible to lei a mermaid?

* Photo-realistic nudity; photo-realistic means that an image either is or cannot be distinguished from a photograph
* Expressly sexually themed content, spaces or activities (whether or not photo-realistic); we will broadly define what is "sexually themed" to include any sexually oriented activities and conduct"

But what is in the CS makes NO mention of publicly advertizing or promoting. It says that if the maturity ratings would call it Adult, it IS NOT PERMITTED on the mainland.

The maturity ratings page says athat ALL sexually themed content is Adult, but that it only mandates flagging the sim Adult if the sim or locatuions in the sim are advertized.

The CS is MUCH more broad in their ban.

What follows that is a statement that even on a private sim, it is only allowed if the sim is flagged as Adult. That is NOT a qualifier saying it is OK unless the Maturity Ratings force the Adult rating.

I'd like it if all mainland PG was turned into Mature. PG seems worthless. I can see a business using that rating on a private region, but why would a university? That seems counter to everything one associates with universities.

I really don't see the point in the PG/Mature divde anymore, people are telling me you can't swear on PG or have a sex bed but come on, people do swear and have sex beds on PG and it's no big deal because hardly anyone notices.

Of the two universities I helped build sites for in SL, one is rated Mature, bacause it is their Health and Human Services division, and they can't teach many of their subjects under the restrictions in a PG sim.

The other University is PG, but is a Continuing Education department. They don't apparently plan to be teaching subjects there that would require a higher rating.

But both universiities opted for Private sims. Neither had any interest in establishing a Mainland site.

The KB definitions only say publicly promoted and advertised adult content has to be in an adult region. Nowhere does it say that content is acceptable in private, and the CS explicitly states such content is not permitted on PG or Mature rated mainland.

As I interpret it, the things defined as "Adult" by the Maturity Definition (not by any other definition, but by that definition alone) are to be confined to Zindra. The definition refers to advertising and public promotion.

from reading it .even on zindra it is to be contained inside sims/regions designated adult rating..again the continent is not adult content free for all.
only the sims/regions that decide to go adult content and the only place those can be are private sims/regions estates
or zindra sims/regions..

Are there sims on Zindra with ratings other than Adult? I haven't looked, but just assumed they are all Adult as it was advertised as the "Adult Continent."
As in:
"Many of you have been waiting patiently for the chance to explore the new adult continent known as Zindra. "

Adult "activity" and "communication" covers many things other than sex.

Yeah, that is the whole "trick" to understanding this, use the definitions provided by LL, not some definitions randomly grabbed from elsewhere.

actually until they are sold and their owners set the content we won't know how many are adult or not..depends on the owner of the sim..thats how the Maturity Definitions read to me..

continent is not the rating..just the ability to have adult content in your sim..
