Can we have a separate cheesecake forum? And one for talking about the psychological ramifications of using SL. And one about nasty neighbors and adfarmers. Another for relationship issues. Then we might as well have one for complaining about the grid, the software and assorted Lindens. While at it, how about one just for asking whether the grid is up or not?

As much as I agree that this forum goes wildly off-topic at times, the fact is that people WANT to talk about all sorts of things here and there isn't a sort of "grab-bag" forum for these discussions.

So you feel forum rules, etiquette don't apply to you. so be it. I have a grand opening today, yet I posted in the appropiate forums and event calendar. I donot feel a sense of entitlement because I happen to use this forum. The rules/etiquette apply to me just as they do to you beleive it or not.

Why not just have one big forum and do with what the various forum topics then. *shrugs*

I don't agree,obviously. The hangout was created for people in the forum by people in the forum. It was a huge (Forum)group effort to make a place that new and old people alike could go to. I think it falls under a different category than Joe Shmoes night club.IMO.

BTW I have never once complained about anyone posting anywhere. So not "everyone" bitches and whines about it. Back to my cheesecake.....

might aswell rename it to Resident Everything then RA, going to look forwards to the refferals again of inapropiate threads and for a change, support them

There is a big difference between flaming someone for posting in the wrong place and directing them to the pople who have a better knowledge of some specific question.

All events are aimed at all residents, just because one is named "club X" they aren`t allowed to post in RA by the regulars while "Forum Cartel" can post events in RA, here we go to the double standards again as if "Club X" would post their event in RA, they`d get flamed into a corner

I find it easier and much more apealing to just toggle ignore. This makes 3 total. Still a very nice forum group, especially when you look around at all the different fourms that are out there.

Well Strauss, there is one difference. You own the place you are having the grand opening at, you profit from it. Now I have nothing against profit.

But these threads you are reading are not started by the owners of the Hangout or the Cartel. Brenda and I own the Cartel and by extension the Hangout. The people of this Forum trusted us with the land. We get nothing from it.

The people starting these threads are Forum members, with nothing to gain. Nothing but the friendship of fellow Forum members and a little fun.

So your opinion overrules the posted forum rules/etiquette?

On a side note, the hangout is not more special then any other place on SL. Not trying to be the bitter pill, but this arrogant, self of entitlement you hangout ppl have is disturbing on several levels. What do I profit exactly? You seen my records?

Its a hobby not a business. The club is nothing but a money pit. But one I feed as I enjoy SL as a hooby and some hobbies cost.

My place is NO different then the hangout except a bit larger scale/different theme.
