There is a rule though. You are not allowed to turn up with a blank profile and not say anything. If you do this, you will not be able to enter the competition - sorry, but it is unfair on the other contestants.
I will post more details about the competition.....as soon as I figure it out lol :p

So if we go as an alt, we have to fill our SL + RL tabs along with our 'picks'? Should we throw in a few hints? I think I'll have to make another alt, or change a few of my picks. There should be SOME clues in there, or else no one will ever guess. How about adding three things on your 1st tab,

1. Gender on the forums.
2. Time zone.
3. Shoe size. ;)

I am not sure if I have any of that viewable on the forum. And I know at least one person thought I was the other gender and were confused when they saw me in world.

I'd gobble up a chocolate cream pie every day of the week. Oddly, I almost never have one. On the other hand, I am not overly fond of cheesecake. Sorry.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Why would you? Cheese is for mice and dogs... (You always looked like a Tom to me)

But really, there should be _some kind_ of clue. Maybe not the ones I suggested, but something.

Well I do know she is working on getting the names of the mains on a board,so people are not guessing people who are not even there. But yes, maybe some small clue in the profile will help. Some people you will be able to tell who they are just by talking to them I would imagine. I have no imagination at all,so you will all get me the minute my alt opens her mouth, lol.

The party is FOR the people in the forums. Claire posted here because she wanted to let you all know and to get some ideas and feedback for the party for the people on the forums. SO I don't see how this is NOT related to the forums and she did ask a question.:)

so is every party held in game, yet, when some one else but a regular posts it, they get forwarded to the appropiate forums in a nice flame fest...

From: Madhu Maruti
This event doesn't belong to the "regulars" (whoever they are) - it belongs to every single person who reads this forum. It's true that the cartel hangout gets different treatment on the forum from other venues - because it IS different from other venues.

as abouve

From: Rioko Bamaisin
With so many jackasses, flamefests and derailed topics out there, why people would want to pick on the ONE good thing the forum community tries to do boggles my mind. Very disheartening, now I am gonna go eat cheesecake and sulk. :(

same reason as every one else, post in the inapropiate forum, that`s why there is an event disucssion forums

every one bitches and whines when certain threads should have been posted else where, specially advertisement, but, once posted by a regular, all the self appointed mods follow the op like sheep but flame every one else

this has started to annoy me for some weeks more and more, either stop whining when an inapropiate post is made or follow the damn rules your self

Finally!

*snip*

Any questions or suggestions? :D

Perhaps posting this in the forum below would be a better place for a event ad or/and spam? As this AFAIK is for questions not advertisments.

Ann, if you keep posting pictures that are litereally making my mouth water ... after I did the whole desert tray thing in the boytoy thread ... I'm going to want desert table like the body sushi tables I have seen before. Whip cream and honey. Maybe some carmel sauce. Mmmm, yummy! Don't worry, I'll take extra special care to get that stuff out of your hair ;) (from a different thread)

To everyone speaking on the post being placed where it shouldn't and other complaints: This is a party, a group gathering that a few people are working hard to put together for EVERYONE ON THE FORUM. Let's please not turn this thread into another FlameFest. Come or don't come, but EVERYONE IS WELCOME!

OK!

first of all, I posted here because the post is for EVERY forum reader - regular or not. Some people will not receive the group notice so i wanted to let people know. I never read the events section and know many others who dont but who were interested in this idea. I am sorry, but i thought it was accepted the the forum events were welcomed.

Secondly, I will speak with Stormy and we will come up with some feasable(sp) way to sort the contest out. We will let you know when we have more details - yes it will be in this thread - until it is loked, i have every intention of keep posting info in here.

Thirdly, anyone wishing to donate to the prize fund, please, please, please, send a notecard to Chandra Tigerpaw. This way we will be able to tally it up easier than sifting through posts on here.

Lastly, though the dress theme will be newb, you are welcome to wear whatever the hell you wish. just remember to keep it PG - at least while the kids could be turning up :) You can wear the newb things in the library or you can go out and spend 4000L on a skin - totally up to you :) if you are dressing for the place rather than the theme, it is going to be a garden party (ish) - well, outdoors anyway.

I do think a clue in the profile may be a nice touch - my alt doesnt have a clue so much as a stonking great blow to the head lol. It just wouldnt be fair to turn up as an alt, with a blank profile, and not say much and expect people to have a fair chance at guessing.

and an early Happy Birthday Ann. sorry you wont be there, but i hope you have a lovely weekend :)

oh you all go ahead, but with the next post where people start to reffer the ops to other parts of the forum, i`ll shuve this thread up their face as this is only 1 of the threads that doesn`t belongs here but in the event threads

along with these:
/327/cb/242423/1.html <- product wanted forums
/327/1d/242556/1.html <- cross posting
/327/cd/242533/1.html <- product wanted forums
/327/e8/242498/1.html <- scripting / product wanted forums
/327/c8/242442/1.html <- product wanted forums

only a handfull but can go fetch a couple dozen of the past week alone if you want...

every single person who does a party/event is doing it for almost every one in SL, you don`t see them posting it in RA? i wonder why not...
