From: Stormy Dyrssen That sounds a lot better than sitting in a boat in the middle of the lake freezing cold, catching kokanee and a cold! That works much better if you have a bloody Mary in your hand. Get up at 4:00am in the morning, hit the sound and do a little fishing while you are getting drunk... Then you really don't care if you catch any fish or not. Hi Trout, hope you are feeling better today. Temporary insanity and being brain dead aside, I am feeling a little bit better today. I still have a strong desire to kill my kid though for bringing it home to me.

Hi Trout, hope you are feeling better today. Temporary insanity and being brain dead aside, I am feeling a little bit better today. I still have a strong desire to kill my kid though for bringing it home to me. If you're in the Sound, don't forget to throw a few crab pots out on your way out and pick them up on your way in. Mmmmm....fresh crab. Shred it up, mix it with a little tartar and stuff it in a hoagie roll with home-grown tomatoes and melt some cheddar cheese in there. Dang. Now I'm hungry and this thread is totally derailed. The problem with kids is that they get sick and are down and out for 24 hours. Then you catch it from them and are sick for three weeks. Damn their immune systems!

From: Trout Recreant It's not. It's certainly more active, but it's like riding a bike. It's not like you have to constantly think about adjusting your balance, remembering how to turn, concentrating on shifting, etc. It just becomes second nature. It makes you think about things other than the stress of life, so I find it very relaxing. Ok honey, whatever you say. I will sit in my chair by the side of the river, maybe put one of those silly bobbers on my line in case I accidentally catch a fish. Watch your wadders fill with water while you slowly float down the river. It will be hard, but I will get in my car, drive down below the dam and fish you out of the water when you hit the bottom so you dont drown. Take you back up and let you start all over again.

Nice! Normally I have to fish myself out, drain my waders and hike back upstream through the brambles and hornets' nests before I start over. Having a ride back up? That's how the rich folk fish!

From: Alicia Sautereau ah so now non-profit are an exception to the advertisement rules? owners of the hangout? isn`t the FC owned by everyone who chipped in?
I hesitate to jump in on this one, Alicia, because I consider Chris and Brenda friends, but I have to agree with you. People donated a lot of money and land to the FC, yet Chris and Brenda still see it as their own. Chris just stated so. I've seen final decisions made by them in Group IM's with no discussion. I brought this up once and was severely attacked for it. I don't think anything illicit going on for Gods sake, but I think there should be some type of management that is held accountable. It's grown beyond the little group it once was before. I'll probably receive the same attacks I received before. How dare I make comments about people who worked so hard to put something together so quickly, blah, blah. Sometimes quickly is not the best way to go about it. I want to stress again that this is no judgment on Chris or Brenda. I just think the FC has outgrown it's original system. As for posting Cartel events in the forums. I use to think it was ok, though it did make me uncomfortable. After reading this thread I've changed my mind. It's sad to see Strauss and Alicia attacked for stating their opinions and then be the ones to be called flamers. I'll still go to events but I don't have to agree with how everything is handled.

Put some chicken backs and fish heads in the crab pots before you throw them over the side. Catch a salmon or two then go dig some clams before you pull the pots back in. Tatar sauce on my fresh caught crab, noooo way. I can make you the best crab cakes you have ever eaten in your life and they dont involve tartar sauce. Then wait until you taste my crap dip... ohhh my you will think that you have died and gone to Heaven when you taste that one.

This is my submission for "Typo of the month". ohhh my gawd,,, I can't believe I typed that. I had to read it three times to figure out what I did wrong. Do you think I am still sick? Maybe I am using too many fingers while I type. More than two can get in the way I hear.

I'll still go to events but I don't have to agree with how everything is handled. Hi Bradley. I don't know why you would be flamed for this opinion, and even though you and I disagree on some points, you stated it well, and it raises some valid points. You have every right to this opinion. As one of the people who "threw it together", I'm all for being held accountble and if you want to criticize my involvement, that's ok by me. We ought to look into how decisions are made. I think the managers need to have some authority to just do things that need to be done, but that maybe it's not a bad idea to put major decisions up to the membership. That's how RL businesses run. They don't go to the shareholders every time they need to order office supplies or something, but if they merge with another corporation, sell of major corporate assets, etc. then they go to the shareholders. Strauss and, to a lesser extent, Alicia are being accused of flaming and trolling because of the tone of their posts. Alicia's wasn't terrible, but Strauss is doing his usual job of being a pompous, arrogant, deprecating asshole. When you treat others like that, you have to expect the sort of responses he's getting. Rha, on the other hand is catching a little grief by association, but really has done nothing other than state her point well. The majority of posters disagree with it and have said so, but I don't see anyone flaming her or beating up on her much. There's a difference between disagreeing with someone and flaming them. I respectfully disagree with her, but like you, she has made her point without being arrogant or hateful. It's why I have placed Strauss on ignore (the only time I have ever used that function and hopefully the last) and not Rha.

From: Bradley Bracken It's sad to see Strauss and Alicia attacked for stating their opinions and then be the ones to be called flamers. Well they made their point, time to move on, and live with the mistake that was made. They may be 'technically' right, but they have alienated themselves by beating and beating the poor horse to death. Are we going to continue moving this thread in the direction of a great rift among the Forum Cartel? IMHO Claire made an honest mistake, but I am backing her in her mistake, and living with the consequences. I cannot fathom that she created this thread for the sole purpose of destroying everyone’s unity...her motives were PURER than those attacking her post...I really am beginning to wonder what the REAL underlying reason is for attacking this thread...the REAL motive goes deeper than the written statements here.

I agree. If everything went to the shareholders, then nothing would get done. Alot of it comes from my 12 step background where leaders are considered servants and major decisions are put to a group conscience. I realize, however, the entire world works that way. From: Trout Recreant Strauss and, to a lesser extent, Alicia are being accused of flaming and trolling because of the tone of their posts. Yeah, I hear ya. Strauss is being Strauss. He's not become #3 on my Ignore list though. I still find him entertaining.

In other words...OK! OK! WE GET THE POINT!!! ENOUGH ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Understandably, you're letting your heart get in the way here, Graph. Virtually this exact same thread came around way before Claire entered the forums. Some bickering just doesn't go away.

Some bickering just doesn't go away. I can appreciate that Brad, I know you are a level headed guy, and I respect your opinion. I said my piece...at least everyone knows MY motives...I just wish the sharks would leave Claire alone...she is as innocent as the snow in the HONEST mistake she made. The argument needs to be taken OFF LINE. I will go take my meds now...

From: Graphicguru Gustav I cannot fathom that she created this thread for the sole purpose of destroying everyone’s unity. Graphic, I've stayed out of this thread because I really didn't want to get into this fray. But FOR GOD'S SAKE, CALM DOWN. (Did you hear me? Good. I don't like all caps.) No one said that Claire did that. (Hey, Claire, no one thinks you did that.) I know you mean well but you are making things worse, not better. Take a deep breath, have a stiff drink if necessary. But this thread is getting to the point where you are part of the problem, and I know that is not what you want.

From: 3Ring Binder Graph's in soooooooooo much trouble. From: Graphicguru Gustav Yeah...when you go to the Forum Hangout just don't look down...(No I didn't kill the squirrel, it's something else) We COULD blame Desri, she really was the culprit!
I already IM'ed Chris...now to face the music!
Now I REALLY must go and hide in Claire's skybox... Later! ....Dare I ask? The squerl had better not be harmed! Ok, I understand this is the wrong forum, fair enough. I will try not to do it again! And I didnt want anyone flamed for stating opinions or whatever. I really didnt want to cause trouble, and i genuinely thought it was ok. Obviously it wasnt so i wil refrain from posting about this sort of thing in the future. I disagree with you , and I do think it should be ok to post about the in-world forum hangout, but I am not about to flame those who disagree. And I am not going to post about it if it causes so much trouble. Strauss, I am sorry you disagree, and you have a right to post your opinions. However, the tone of your posts is annoying me a bit so I am going to put you on ignore for a couple of days. I am prolly reading them with the wrong tone or something, but I really dont want to end up posting something I regret.

From: Nika Talaj Well Strauss, I think we're just going to have to agree to disagree. I do ask you to believe that folks created the Hangout in a sincere attempt to improve forumites SL experience, and I think the many posts enthusiastically embracing its existence prove that goal has been accomplished. And yes, I'm sure that all successful clubs also have people who love them I don't know why you can't see that this one is different simply because it is was created by and for forum participants, but I do respect your right to hold that opinion! Take care. . To quote a classic... "You are a better man than I Gunga Din" Very classy indeed Nika. .d

From: Claire Silverspar ....Dare I ask? The squerl had better not be harmed! OH! He is quite the healthy active little tyke! No harm has come to him. The FLOOR on the other hand is a disaster! And yes, I did it by accident. I was trying to hand a picture to someone who was dancing and moving about and accidentally 'gave the picture to the FLOOR! So... I tried to repair the damage but couldn’t find the right texture to make the floor, so half the floor is now knotty pine! From: Brann Georgia Heyyyy, I have an idea!
