OK, Call me slow~~~ i never thought about an ALT but now i want one! SOOOOOOOOOOOO....How would i create an ALT? the same way i would do a new acct? you could always pay someone for their account info..so they could start a new secondlife..call it "investing in a new beginning for them".  That way you get their name choice..etc..makes an alt character much more believable as someone who isn't supposed to be you ~Lana Tomba _____________________

Use the same email and everything. That usually works. Ignore the secondlife website where it tells you that you will be charged 9.95 for the alt. You won't be charged unless they started a new policy today. If you want to avoid Help Island and Orientation Island, IM a friend when you get in world and ask them to tp you out of there. Then they can laugh at your Newbie McNewbiepants skin and clothes while you demand teh sexxies from them and ask where the first quest is. Hilarity. Thanks Guys~~~ You all are the best!!! |

They're weird - we're normal Probably true. I have a Yahoo address and it gave me no trouble with the alt for the project which must not be named and the alt for the party (I'm calling him the Alt Which Must Not Be Named). SL is weird. It makes no sense sometimes. _____________________

I had to give a different address for my alt. When I tried to 'register' my alt, SL told me "email address already in use" or some such. So I used another. I wasn't going to get another alt, then did for the project which should not be named. Both my other emails were rejected, SO, I gave it another. I couldn't help but wonder how people (Ceera?) go about creating multiple alts.
I think Trout is right, SL makes no sense sometimes. I've learned not to question things too much - just go with the flow. |
