I never disputed they believe its a "sincere attempt to improve forumites SL experience". I do think, as a whole, they mean well but their self righteous, arrogant attitude totally washes away any attempted good will point they attempt to make.

My point is very simple;They do NOT make the forum polices here nor if they spout some made up rule over and over still does not hold any real weight. I have yet to have someone not toss flames at me but truly dispute any of my core points. At best I get your kind of response 'agree to disagree'. which is valid however that in no way invalidates my stance.

Just because some inworld club started in this forum does not give it ANY more validity then the MANY other inworld locations, ideas that sprang up form this forum. They seem to think it does with biased, and some could say hypocritical, hair splitting reasoning.

Of course their reactions are expected and predictable. I am rocking their very (leaky reasoning) boat. So they get defensive and flame me. *shrugs* On a side note, I have been attacked and flamed by far more skilled and efficient people in my 20 yrs online, but their effort does provide entertainment on some levels I must admit. *chuckle*

Back to the point, my reasoning for making these points is we NEED to police ourselves. Until, that is, someone gets a mod position here and takes control of the situation. Their self serving, arrogant attitude does NOT help in any way. And it just illicit more mis-postings and free for all environment.

If people cant understand that then *shrugs* theres no hope for them to be blunt.

well Strauss..I'm not going to pass any judgements on anyone but..from what I've seen in the last few weeks..there ARE people..in certain ranks..with the ear of Strife..and prolly more..They've networked with mods (or former mods) and swing their 'lock post by proxy' stick with ease.

When you have a forum FULL of people who all hang out at the same place and who have pooled their funds to open that place and pay tier on it..well..it creates a "mini mafia" mindset. Its a bit lonesome here when threads are ignored..posts are ignored and derailed...and when your'e attacked..just because you rivaled the wrong person..for that day.

So..the reason i quoted that particular line about them not making forum policy.

Well in Highschool...when the rich kids are kissing the A**es of the teachers and their parents are paying for events and those kids are whispering into the ears of the teachers.Who "really" are calling the shots?....The teachers?...the staff?....and then when the staff leave and allow the classroom to "mod" themselves...does it usually happen?

Think about that. I too would like to believe that non moderators do not set policy..unfortunately..thats not very realistic.

I had a, let's say, "coloful" past. It has been 30 years since HS but I can tell you who was calling the shots. Me. I sold the rich kids their drugs. Hell, I supplied some of the teachers as well. I take it you were not part of the "in" crowd. Sorry you felt that way. I'm sorry you still do. But there is no "in" crowd. The "in" crowd are just as insecure as everyone else.

Everyone with hidden agendas..well if i question this action or policy will i have anyone answering my posts for the next two weeks? If i don't agree with a persons POV will i be called names and personally attacked.? I'm seeing this "eat or be eaten" law questioned.

I think its a valid question. Since coming to the forums I have tried to "play" nice while still asserting my educated/uneducated opinions about Topics..and yea..I think that some people haven't learned that fighting not to drown makes you swallow water faster. But...I would much rather see "responses" rather than "reactions".

Use the same email and everything. That usually works. Ignore the secondlife website where it tells you that you will be charged 9.95 for the alt. You won't be charged unless they started a new policy today. If you want to avoid Help Island and Orientation Island, IM a friend when you get in world and ask them to tp you out of there. Then they can laugh at your Newbie McNewbiepants skin and clothes while you demand teh sexxies from them and ask where the first quest is. Hilarity.
