Two very important questions, does the rhinestone codpiece go with Philip or does the new CEO get to wear it? And if it is the latter, do we really want to see Trout in a rhinestone codpiece?

Very Bad Idea™: Bring Cory back as CEO. (Can't happen: I hear his in-world name is already changed. :p )

Noooo I've already been into photoshop to create my "Robin for president 2008" posters!

OMG it should totally be a requirement of the job. Like a crown. The new CEO must wear it! Chris, you're brilliant.

You're right Nika. This decision doesn't signal any changes other than Philip's choice to focus on strategy and product while someone he chooses as his partner manages the operations and organizational growth. No falling sky, just the natural course of growth.
Bless you Robin...
...I took off my tin-foil hat just now...peeked outside and notice the sky pretty much intact. I remembered to breath...My cat eventually peeked her head out from under the couch...the birds began to chirp again...the flowers opened up again... the rhinestone codpiece gets dusted off again...Child avi's begin to play outside again...all is well.

He must have cracked when he saw your "Boogerheads" blog.

My scowl is a dangerous weapon.

(I might have to turn the "boogerheads" sign into a freebie this weekend)

To be honest, I sincerely expected to read "Philip Rosedale steps down as CEO of Linden Labs; Robin (Linden - dunno if yer RL name is public record or nuttin) named as replacement."

OMG - They are real. So cool.

Every time I see a Linden post I'm reminded of that M&M's commercial.

Thanks for stopping by Robin! You must be busier than a hive of bees right now.

It took me a while to respond because I was busy sending the part where you say I was right about something out to be bronzed.

I am bumping you to an 8.5 on the Official Trout Measuring Instrument of Sluttiness. You are an enigma - on the one hand a sweet, gentle, intelligent woman who we would like to wrap up in our arms and protect, and on the other, a temptress to whom we would like to do all sorts of unmentionable things.

Congratulations and shame on you! You are a bit of a slut.

Yes, but that part about Trout wearing it is a very good question and something we should think long and hard about.

"Rhinestone Codpiece" is one of Glen Campbell's most underrated songs

Time for wild speculation.....Edgar Miles Bronfman, Jr. ? I think he has some time on his hands.

Richard Branson?--he doesnt need time.

Bill Gates?--maybe he's gotten bored of philanthropy.

Apple has some corporate rumors happening today................

Steve Ballmer? cause he laughed at the iphone?

Unfortunately, it sounds like I'll never have Philip Linden in there.

We have a secret stairway hidden under our couch; it goes to a bomb shelter we converted into a Neko playroom! You're welcome to come over and bring your fish/man, and play with him in there! Tell him not to forget his codpiece!

We need a true visionary. Jerry Bruckheimer. Or perhaps someone from Home Shopping Network.

Is it wrong that I read that as "...some ho from the Shopping Network?"

Can I have more coffee and a new set of contact lenses please?

Considering one of the biggest industries in SL is exactly that, maybe its not so unusual.
