The basic answer is in our name. We are one nation comprised of a union of several states. Each state governs itself and subscribes to the laws of the nation. Think of us as 50 individual countries who are united as one and governed not just by the laws of the individual states, but also by the laws we have agreed to abide by on a national level. We are "united states". I'm pretty sure that I also saw a subscribtion to Cat Fancy on Virginia's table.

Eventually, like I hinted at above, all this scaremongering will lose its edge, and the *real* ills will be lost amid the trumped up issues. Let's also not forget: most cases of abuse are *still* perpetuated by family members, not random strangers on the Inner-Tubes -- unlike what the media might wish you to believe.
Mari They point and gasp at the cartoon "freak show" of SL and wonder why they lose viewers to the internet as they offer a constantly expanding diet of freakshows of their own....aka "reality television". And every day these so called "journalists" and their news shows become less and less relevant.

Sorry, I post again! perhaps you "free americans" should read post (163) 3 or 4 times, posted by Rene, this country is at war with pedos in the uk these last few years...they close down, investigate, arrest, confiscate computers, even my boot/trunk of my car was searched at a market last year, because some idiot saw childrens screen savers on my table!, and thought I was selling child porn!!, all the customs officers found were screen savers, scooby doo, disney, poo bear, spider man etc etc....they apologise, but it very upsetting, my wife was in tears most of the way back home!! almost anything remotely linked to child abuse/porn....they will make it very difficult for us to access SL soon, its only a matter of time.
On ebay, i have tried many times, using different names for certain things, but it never works, because as soon as u log in, your region where u live brings up the window saying your not allowed to view or purchase this item!

I'd like to have one just to play with it, especially if I had some really old reels of interesting stuff. Actually, a reel to reel projector would be kind of fun, too. I love that kind of stuff. To the OP: You have replies in this thread from people all over the world, including the UK, where you live. Please stop blaming Americans for your frustration. We're to blame for all sorts of legitimate problems, so why not pick one of those? I'm sure there are people here who will help you learn to hate the US in a much more accurate fashion. You aren't getting serious replies because you aren't making much sense. It's very difficult to pick the substance out of your posts when they are so disjointed, inflamatory and difficult to read. Also, you can't just go to bookstores in the US and stick your stuff through a hole and expect to get anything other than arrested. Seriously. I don't know where you got your impression of the US, but what you're describing makes no sense at all.

bye You know, this is quite funny. I am friends with a Metro Officer who works in London. Last spring she arrested a pedo who was sitting in a public area looking at kiddy porn on his laptop. She was quite upset at the things she saw. Well actually her supervisor made her arrest him. She was quite willing to let the pub patrons handle the matter on their own. But for the poor bloke's safety she took him to jail.
