OMG!! Did you see the blog they just put up? Your whole AV will be messed up if you don't spend at least 24 hours without clothes on this weekend. It will trash your hard drive, ruin your credit and drink milk out of jug! For all that is good and pure, log in now and remove all your clothes! You can keep the hair, ears and tail attachments as well as your skin and shape. There is not a problem with them.

Two tears? Can I borrow one? All I seem to be able to shed are tears of joy.

Oh, and two things to keep in mind:

Thank you LL for listening and acting. This is a huge undertaking and the fact that LL has stepped up to tackle it shows quite a bit of maturity. I wish LL all the best in this. My mainland home sim has 5-6 spinny 16m2 ads parcels. They're not in the middle of anybody's property. They're not overly ugly, as far as ads go. Their graphics are not overly Adult - pretty tame actually, considering what else goes on in my neighborhood. They are set to sale for anywhere from L$500 to L$5000. If I were to take a poll, I'd bet that a _lot_ of people think these parcels should be AR'ed.

I've got no problem, no problem at all, with Jack Linden stomping on people who are going out of their way to trash the mainland - they deserve a good, solid bitch slap upside the head - but too many seem to be taking his blog post as a mandate to AR anything that looks like an ad anywhere on the mainland.

I don't know that I agree with Chris that it's a sad day, or even know that ad farms is what he's going on about, do think this whole thing really has the potential to do more harm than good to SL.

However if the plots are tiny and at 15K ... esp if they are 16sqm - that is very ARable I'd say. Only when there is no profit in it, and when the unwary cannot be so easily tricked by it, will extortionate land prices be eliminated.

Just having a sign is nothing. There's one right next to me which I didn't AR because despite being fairly high up it's not unreasonably so and is there "as is" as an advertisement not to annoy, and the plot is not for sale. That to me is perfectly acceptable - might not be my cup of tea aesthetically but it's behind a nice Heart Gardens tree.
