Second Life is an adult themed world. And I don't mean adult as in sex. I mean just adult. As an adult myself I would much prefer to not see child avatars period. I really do not understand where child avatars fit in. It makes me very uncomfortable to see them around the grid. Especially at clubs(pg, mature or adult) and adult places like Zindra. And don't say it doesn't happen because I am sure we have all seen them there at some point.

I am not so close minded to think everyone that has a child avatar is a pervert and a pedophile. I am sure there are some nice people out there that are just enjoying being a kid for whatever reasons. But what you don't realize is that for ever 1 of you there are probably 5 not like you. What you are guilty of doing is enabling pedophiles to act out there sick fantasies in game. What I mean by enabling is this, if there were no child avatars in game there would be no pedophile activities would there? And let us go further to say, what happens when they take that sick behavior into real life? Enabled by the fantasy in game. Now that they have had a taste of it in game why not real life?

So think about this while your going on and on about child avatars and enjoying "your" game. Would it be better to give up this one small aspect to protect the innocent children that may be hurt at some point? Or are you that selfish that you just can't live without the child avatar fantasy? As an adult you have a responsibility to do what is right, not just for you but for all the children of the world. And yes your actions even on the "internets" have some consequence in the real world whether you want to believe it or not.

The pedos can't "play their games" unless we directly cooperate with them, can they? And if we don't, then we can't -possibly- be enabling them.

What I see from child avatar supporters are people who aren't looking any further then how it effects them. Whether it's willful ignorance or just a lack of concern, I have no idea. It would be nice instead of imposing restrictions that people really understand the implications. But humans can be lazy and selfish creatures.

On the flip side of that.. if they are in SL getting their gratification, that means they are not out in real life affect the life of a child. Would that not be a good thing?
