Eh, LG exaggerates. But I just can't bring myself to fix it.

Well crap, I didn't even fix her statement. I quoted it exactly as she stated it. Guess that doesn't work for her either.

You probably deprived her of the ability to modify her post so she could claim to have not said what she said, or something like that.

You know, on other forums, the "fixed it for you" meme is usually accompanied by use of the HTML strikeout tag, to clarify that the original poster didn't literally write the altered text. Unfortunately, we're prevented from using that here.

If some kind and genial forum administrator could enable the vB code "strike" tag, well then, all would be put right in the universe. Oh, and while you're at it, the "b", "i", and heck why not, "url" tags might be useful too kthxbye.

This is such a cute pic, I would not want anyone to miss it, so I'm quoting you to help ensure that everyone sees it.

What's wrong with three letter names?

Pep (to his friends)

As Charles Dickens pointed out (in "The Pickwick Papers";), three-letter names have no nickname.

Should forum members be allow to quote other members with words they never actually wrote in a post and then justify it by saying they also wrote "fixed it" below the quote?
Yes. And you should have made it a poll.

Yummmm! Or chocolate banana. Or chocolate butterscotch. (Hmmm, is there a trend here?)

And for extreme quote mangling, you can use the term "castrated it for you".

Can't we just say "Neutered that for ya?"

That's not really better, now that I say it....

Brenda? I always think of her as a kindly auntie who borrows the neices for the weekend and takes them on crazy city tours and to dangerous restaurants.

I've wracked my brain trying to find something to dispute about this, but I can't. :)

From: Treasure Ballinger
I had a sis in law like that, the kindly auntie that all the nieces, nephwes and cousins adored. She adored them too, never had kids of her own. But she owned a van, instead of the fast sports car she would have preferred, in order to lug the kids around with her. She taught several of them to drive, to cook, many things that they know how to do today

Wow...substitute an SUV for the van and I think you are on to something.

I'm sory she passed. :(

That's because other forums use up to date software, not one that is 3 years old. When the security issue arose in this version, LL figured it would "scale" betetr to turn off those features instead of updating the software.
