Pep (Can you not understand the concept of a symbol?)

Apparently you couldn't, when you tried to claim I said something which I didn't.

Just being appropriately respectful to the OP.

Pep (You don't consider it sufficiently unacceptable to prevent you fawning over images of her avatar.)

I find a great deal of what YOU say "unacceptable" too, yet here I am . . . talking to you. Post a pic of your avi, and I'll do my best to "fawn," just to even things out.

In case you hadn't seen the posts:

I saw them, but thanks for the review.

From: Pserendipity Daniels

I have replaced the expletive with clover in each case.

And I still find that odd, even though you've explained your reasons for doing so.

Pep (Not terribly jocular, eh?)

No at all. She's clearly furious.

My argument isn't that she's 'just joking'.

My argument is that people tend to get much more colorful with both the good and the bad in the anonymous setting of a forum.
Also that there is no practical way that she could bring about your death by cancer, so why take it so to heart?
Was it a fairly violent thing to say? Yes. But was it utterly unprovoked? I don't think so.

Just from the posts in this thread, I can fully understand why someone would think, "I can't stand that guy and I really wish he just wouldn't post here ever again.", yet express it more like, "I would laugh if you died of cancer."

I also agree, with many others here, that you seem to enjoy pushing people to the point of anger, so I can't understand why you'd be surprised when you get the reaction you were working toward.

I'm glad you brought that up.

It's been apparently taken as a fact in this thread that that is what provoked her. There's no proof of that - only you're claim that it is so. What provoked her is far more than that that comment. If that comment bothered her at all. It's no less than the entirety of your appalling behaviour in the undying thread. Probably much more.

Perhaps Laurin should also consider this carefully.
You feel able to speak for Rhonda with authority do you? I have seen no evidence that her outburst was other than an ill-considered hissy fit in response to my linebacker comment.

Pep (Perhaps you are going to roll in her belief that I am responsible for AIDS, the Banking Crisis and Wagon Wheels not being as big as they used to be as well?)

He's not surprised. It's a tool he uses to try to provoke the person to *even more anger*. And it worked, as per the second outburst.

I would prefer not to be bracketed with that horrendous person, thank you.

Pep (If you really find what I say unacceptable then I would be happier if you terminated any and all communication with me.)

How do you *drive* someone to do anything in these forums? Are you suggesting that you have so little personality and self-respect that you allow simple textual communications to make you lose your self-control? I refuse to be responsible for the inability of others to manage their own emotions.
You just can't help yourself, can you? Everybody knows that different people have different sensitivity and tolerance levels, but you don't care - you pile on in regardless. You don't care if the person you are picking on at any particular time has the tolerance to take your incessant fault-finding and nit-picking. And here you are pretty much admitting it. "It's not my fault" says you. It *is* your fault, says the world in general. You know very well that different people can take different amounts before they snap, so it *is* your fault that you pile it on regardless.

Yet you've presented no evidence her outburst was, either. So if I don't have leg to stand on, you certainly don't either. Either way, it shows you are pushing a baseless assumption as fact.

I agree and I'll rephrase:

I can't understand why you would pretend to be surprised, and further, expect others to be surprised/outraged/offended along with you.

It just occurred to me that this might be why you are so in love with yourself. If you were in that Malchovitch situation, you would be in heaven.
I presume you mean Malkovich.

Pep (Do you lack self-esteem then? It would explain a lot.)

Heh, I can answer those as well. First, it's part of his game. He can't very admit to it, can he?

As for trying to lead others, two reasons. First, if he can get other people outraged at her, he feels that it will provoke her more. And second, he's completely admitted that he's trying to drive her out of the forum.

He has been known to repeatedly lapse into badly-disguised variations of "I know you are, but what am I?"

Sorry, Talarus, I am not going to dignify your previous post to me with a response. Your agenda is fairly clear, and I find it as distasteful as any other trolling.

Seems to be dignified, since you responded. :)

I've never hidden my "agenda", so I have no idea what it is you find so "distasteful". I'm not the hypocrite who claims that one "deals with things in the open forum" while trying to play manipulative games in private with other posters.

I respond to forum bullies (or at least ones that think they are); I think I have made that abundantly clear. I also respond to the "me toos" who back them up.

As stupid and moronic as Pep is, I think that people who support his behavior are even worse.

Have at it boys if you really can't restrain yourselves.

Why should we? You can't seem to, either, can you? You just had to post this to get that last little 'twist', didn't you? I see that you're really no better than Pep.

Repeating something I haven't said doesn't make it true.

It may be optional, but it's desirable, in order to make the sentence easily understandable, which it wasn't the way you wrote it. For you, it was an error.
