LOL! You mean forum personas? Something you are keen to talk about and differentiate when it suits you.

You can't stand being beaten by your own game. Something which happens a lot when you foolishly interact with me, isn't it?

Perhaps you should just stop posting to me entirely, so as to stop showing everyone just how stupid you really are. As you say, better to leave some doubt, eh?
If I had meant to say forum personae I would have said so. You are demonstrating yet again that inability to read that I have mentioned.

I have yet to be even close to being beaten by you, except in your deluded mind, dear, but feel free to live in denial if it keeps you from falling apart completely.

I am more than happy for unbiased observers to decide who is the rational one here, and would recommend that you take the medicine you describe before you fall apart again . . .

Pep ( . . . as you have done before.)

Thanks Scylls. At least the alt tangent temporarily provided a diversion from the incessant rehashing.

I had this horrible vision of this thread *never* ending and the same people posting the same things over and over with slightly different wording, forever. And ever. And ever.

 indeed!

Well, I considered, briefly, asking that the thread be locked. But then it occurred to me that, so long as this was going on here, it wasn't happening elsewhere. For instance, the Undying Thread is remarkably serene right at the moment. And no one else's thread is being derailed.

Maybe we can erect some sort of containment field or shielding around this thread, in the hope of maintaining a quarantine? :D

ETA: I see that Love has beaten me to the punch!

I'm all for that! And I agree about the undying thread. I did notice him griefing some other thread, so it's not 100% effective. But better than nothing.

LMAO! Nope. I posted as Phil Deakins, and as nobody else - sorry. I know it's upsetting for you but I can't help it :)
And we know we can trust you, don't we.

Sorry about your thread, Scylla. Its path was set the moment that pap posted on the first page. I hope that you did get plenty of griefing examples though.

OK Pep, keep going, by all means. I think you're right - you haven't come close to exposing the depths of your own stupidity yet.

(Waits for the "fixed for you post";)

ROFLMAO! You're incredible - I'll give you that. You are being tanned right now, and have been throughout this thread, and you actually believe that you're not being beaten? RROOFFLLMMAAOO! You're funny.

As I have said several times, by continually repeating the same ol' same ol' you are providing me with the ideal platform to repeat my disgust with the posts by Rhonda wishing cancer on another person.

Pep (I think you have it the wrong way around; every time you post you are revealing your lack of imagination and bigotry.)

Meh.

/me shrugs.

It's not exactly the first thread that's gone off the rails here, is it? This just comes with the territory. And, as I have said above, many people did respond helpfully, so it served its purpose.

How are you measuring that? In terms of the number of repeated posts by those with obdurate preconceptions who completely ignore the critical issue of Rhonda's horrendous posts wishing cancer on another human being. By that criterion you may be right . . .

Pep ( . . . but I prefer the quality of my posts to the quantity of basic hyper-emotional rants that you and sundry others mistakenly consider repartee.)

Nope. I'm measuring by the degree of sense that is posted on each side. You lost a lot of ground at the beginning of the thread, and you've been losing more and more ever since. You keep on digging your hole deeper and deeper, and you have no idea when it's wise to just stop.

Plus, you're struggling like mad, which is a sure sign of being beaten.

On the "But Mom! She wished me death by cancer!!" issue-

Aren't horrific death wishes kind of par for the forum course?

I've been told to DIAF!! a few times, but I didn't consider that the other poster actually, rationally would be pleased if I died in a fire.
They wouldn't have been too emotionally broken up over it, but still, not exactly pleased.

At least in my experience, in the heat of fighting on teh internetz, "I hope your intestines dissolve and your remaining organs drown in your unprocessed poo!" = "I disagree stongly with what you just typed there above me."

edited to add, the DIAF wasn't on this forum, just for clarity. :-)

I entirely disagree. My point is that it is unacceptable by any standards to post wishing cancer on another. You and the rest of Rhonda's supporters are arguing that it was acceptable because I was the target. All the rest of your argument is an irrelevance which I refuse to allow to distract me from making my observation regrading Rhonda's appalling behaviour. By supporting Rhonda you are aligning yourselves with her and condoning her foulmouthed and deplorable invective.

Pep (How can I "lose ground" when my proposition is as simple as that, and the opposition to it is completely baseless?)

It rather depends on whether you think the person who said it meant it.

I'm not sure it does.
I think it depends more on that person's relationship to the other. If my doctor wished me death by cancer, I'd take it very seriously.
A forum nemesis, not so much.

In case you hadn't seen the posts:

From: Rhonda Huntress
The worst thing about hearing your clovering clover of a friend is dieing (sic) of clovering cancer is that it is not clovering you, you clovering walking clover. If you had and (sic) compassion at all you would clovering eat a clovering bullet. You clovering need 5 aspirin and a clovering razor blade in the clovering tub. But you don't have the clovering balls you clovering eunic (sic!) clover.
I have replaced the expletive with clover in each case.
From: Rhonda Huntress
I will laugh the day you are diagnosed.
I will dance the day you go under the knife.
I will cry the day you die because your suffering has ceased.
I will light a candle the next day in thanks to the goddess because the world no longer has to suffer from you.
You are a pustule on society and will die as such. Un-mourned and soon forgotten.

There you go again. You don't even understand what people write to you. I thought you specialised in the english language - I must be mistaken. Anyway, I suppose I ought to explain it to you, although it really shouldn't be necessary. Everyone else understands it.

Nobody has written anything that supports the *content* of what Rhonda wrote (Whyspe just put it into perspective though). This whole 'discussion' is about whether or not you deserved a strong outburst against you. You see? You saying, "You and the rest of Rhonda's supporters are arguing that it was acceptable because I was the target." doesn't make it true. I have to conclude that you are lying, or that you really don't understand what people write very clearly, or that you are merely trying to divert the 'discussion' away from you, because you are beaten. I actually believe the third of those. Your posts look like you are thrashing around in quicksand, and, as a result, sinking deeper and deeper into it.
