Then you shouldn't have driven someone to write those things. I'm sure we have all been so mad at someone that "I could cheerfully strangle you". It doesn't mean we would ever do it, but we are occasionally driven to say things like that.

The problem with you is that you delight in driving people to such emotions, and you keep on and on at people if they respond to you. And *that* is what this whole discussion is about.

Last night I decided to have another look at where it started, and I read quite a few pages following it. There was one post you wrote to someone who had just described an illness that she'd had, and I just couldn't believe the nastiness of your post.

I don't know. I've never been into that particular thread. All I know is that what he said, probably over a number of posts, caused one regular forum user to leave the forum completely, and also the forum Cartel group, and another person to come out with those outbursts.

For someone who claims we should just let the insults slide off, you sure are obsessing over that one comment I made.

By the way Laurin, I hold no malice towards you. I certainly don't agree with you, and am a bit shocked at what you wrote yesterday and am quite happy to comment on it, but I have nothing against you.

You are epitomising the thick Yorkshiremen for all the world to see now, aren't you? *You* may be continually restating that you consider I deserved an "outburst", which contention I couldn't care less about, but I am repeating that, regardless of whether I deserved, merited or (insert your own chosen synonym) an "outburst", the content of the "outburst" was entirely unacceptable by any standards. Your continued and continuing failure to comment on the acceptability of the content of the "outburst" implicitly condones that content.

Your opinions regarding the state of my argument and my status are of course inaccurate and redundant, and repeating them merely dilutes their effect, whereas every time I repeat that Rhonda wished cancer on me it strengthens my case.

Originally I posted accurately regarding Rhiadra's request for examples of griefing. I am still posting in line with the request. Your discussion is the diversion. I don't suppose that any of you are going to give a response to the question of whether you consider Rhonda's post unacceptable by any standards, as I believe, and as Laurin and Treasure at least have publicly agreed. You will continue to discuss an irrelevant question, since I have agreed that every post I make is suitable for a response, and that I am not surprised that many of those responses tend to be irrational over-emotional over-reactions.

Part of the reactions you see is how he treats others. You know, people one might consider friends.

There are two camps. Those who take insults of their friends personally, and those who think that if it's not directed at them, it's not their business.

You obviously see the pattern of his posts. If it's not one person who's in his sights, it's another. Invariably he's going to provoke someone somewhere along the way.

Which is, of course, his goal. He's a troll.

There's a third camp (for the undying thread in particular) which is those who wanted the thread to be about friendship and camaraderie. To be kept very casual and fun. Lighthearted. Basically drama free. You see what he did to that dream.

It's been apparently taken as a fact in this thread that that is what provoked her. There's no proof of that - only you're claim that it is so. What provoked her is far more than that that comment. If that comment bothered her at all. It's no less than the entirety of your appalling behaviour in the undying thread. Probably much more.

Perhaps Laurin should also consider this carefully.

How do you *drive* someone to do anything in these forums? Are you suggesting that you have so little personality and self-respect that you allow simple textual communications to make you lose your self-control? I refuse to be responsible for the inability of others to manage their own emotions.
