How have you been griefed?

I never thought of it like that lol I assumed him being inside was intentional. But now that you mention it, I caged someone at Xcite once (he was being a pig to a girl who was with me) and I didn't end up inside the cage. I'm not used to these things, so maybe you are right, and he didn't intend caging himself as well

Yeah, it does depend on the individuals. In each instance I"ve seen them, they've been RPing to the hilt. So I have a negative perception of them, like 'who do you think you are'? You have no rights here, get out. lol For example, the time they rezzed the police cars with lights and sirens, I IM'd one of them and asked what did he think he was doing? He said you're all deaf anyway on that sim you can't hear if there are sirens or not. The resident had annoyed them, elsewhere on the grid, and they 'followed' him home by reading his profile. There was no legitimate need for what they did, so yeah it was RP to them, and griefing to me. Screaming out with a bullhorn, you are under arrest, give me a break, lol. Attaching a tow truck to a person's house. lol ok, so that part was kinda funny. Stupid but funny.

I am fully prepared for number 4. Taken out by an assassians bullet is a neat way to leave sl foever.

I cant see the harm in number 6.

A particle bomb that filled the sim with floating pictures of "tubgirl".

The Linden showed up to return the object was wearing a biohazard suit.

Six months later I got someone complaining that I was griefing them. Apparently someone standing on my parcel had taken a photo of the tubgirl bomb and started notecard-bombing people with it... and the description field of the photo still had my parcel name on it.

I'd edited my post at the same time posted yours. The edit does explain what use of words means. I am very good with words, Pep - it's just that you don't seem to want to understand them sometimes. Perhaps if you look at the edited version, you'll learn something that you were lacking before

And this is pure harassment. Yeah, and griefing. Interesting: arguably, I suppose, involving someone else in your RP without her or his permission could, in some circs, constitute a form of griefing, as when someone "shoots" when you are clearly not "playing" or OOC.

Hal and I have seriously been targetted by neo-nazis in sl. I've had enough griefing in reality to know it hurts in sl.

Honestly I have been griefed only a few times in my SL history.

Once, Mystical Cookie set out a large red button in front of me labeled DO NOT PRESS knowing full well what I would eventually do.

Second, one of my estate managers wondered: hey, could I ban Desmond's well known alt Desmond Magic just to see what happens? I never knew what hit me. Was this mainland around me, and noobs at an infohub, and... why?

Third, I have been sexually harassed multiple times in these forums (I'm not telling if I loved every minute of it though).

Mostly they annoy me because so many people believe they are real, that there really is a 'SL Police Force', sanctioned and perhaps even employed by, LL. They are shocked to find out they're just an RP group and an annoying one at that.

The SL police make me feel paranoid.

Some kid griefed an event the other evening where they must have hacked an account to move objects around in front of the host.

I know people who have been griefed by fake police snooping around and intimidating shoppers in their mark's store. On mainland the only police are the Lindens. The fake police are definitely close cousins to the common griefer.

Can you imagine this trolly kinda avi, all humpity muscles and one great big wang chasing you through a sim. Super sexy! Like "woman wailing for her demon lover" as old Coleridge would say.

Actually, this is an interesting point. The first time I ran across RPing cops, they were chatting outside a coffee house I frequented, and sounded quite convincing. I was reasonably new: it took me a while of eavesdropping before I realized that they were bogus.

Arguably, newbs COULD be taken in by them, just as they sometimes are by people impersonating Lindens.
