Prize money not high enough for ya? Or do you doubt that we, as a group, through diligence and teamwork can achieve the impossible?

The problem with making movies out of the Dark Tower books is that there's 7 books, and thus, theoretically, 7 movies, whose principal characters (not counting flashbacks) don't age more than, say, a year over the course of all seven. How many movies can you produce in one year?

if done right, and they film all 7, consecutively, on schedule w/o a diva attack, i say they should be able to do 2 a year, finishing it up in 3.5 years..... if Peter Jackson directs. but then again, ima optimist :D!

mornin thread.....waffles anyone?

The first is making shoes at night while, you know, while the old cobbler sleeps. You can bake cookies in a tree. But the third job, some call it, uh, "the show" or "the big dance," it's the profession that every linden aspires to.

Good point. Also I think these books might have the kind of magic that works better in the reader's mind than it does when translated into visuals of concrete things in a movie.

He certainly delivered with The Lord Of The Rings trilogy.

We've still got a bit of a morning marine layer here near the San Diego beach. I expect the sun will burn through soon.

Mmmm...just had a great thunderstorm here in the Washington, DC. area. Perfect weather for Club Bed, as I call it.

Maggie, may I have one of those waffles?
