You guys know this is on the internet, right? And that after LL locks it up, all this stuff will be here, unchangeable, for as long they leave it up, for anyone to see?

Do you two really want to go out saying this kind of stuff?

I keep thinking of my grandmother telling me, "Your face could freeze like that!"

Howdy folks!

I hope everyone's week is off to a good start and that you all had a great weekend.
I had a great weekend, other than the fact that I didn't find any time for SL.

My son got a good report on his eye at his latest checkup with the doctor.

The Texans played well enough to beat a good football team.

Mark Martin (my favorite) won the NASCAR race.

On Saturday I played well enough in a tourney to win a little money.

And tonight I have plans to have a few barley and hops beverages celebrating the fact that I ain't dead yet.

:D

Why would Pserendipity Daniels worry about that?

So, my laptop died Saturday night. After several hours on the phone with the manufacturer tech, it's been decided to send it in for repair/replace as it's under warranty and we'd bought insurance for replacement. It's the Nvidia driver issue, the card is corrupted which they found out after hours of work and process of elimination. Will be a couple weeks before it's back. But I can get online, just not inworld. So, I've been reading the forums, and yeah it's pretty toxic in this thread now.

Why is it that no one has mentioned that Amara is gone? She's not reading the thread (I asked her) and she's not coming back. (Funny I first wrote that as 'She's not reading the *threat*. That's what it feels like to her, here. ) It's not a haven for her anymore but a battle zone and she finally had enough. It got to be too much for her. And she's left the Cartel group inworld.

I've read the thread here, back to Saturday night and find no mention of this. Perhaps I overlooked it and someone will point out to me where it's posted. Damian also is not posting although I have no personal knowledge if he's left too, but would not be surprised.

So, is this not important? It all happened in Cartel group chat and I IM'd her later, so I'm not just relying on group chat. I didn't ask her if I could talk about this here. I just wondered why it's business as usual here in the threat, with no mention of the fact that Amara isn't here anymore. Me, I care, and I miss her.

EDIT: Ooops I did it again, called the 'thread' a 'threat'. Seems to just come off my fingers like that.

Ok ok ok. You are right.
I... Eli Schlegal, do hearby appologize to all of my gay friends, gay family members, and the gay community at large, that I would have suggested the Pep is cool enough be gay.
I only did it because I knew it would bother him, which clearly it did.

/me sits with her head on her desk, silently weeping . . .

It's GREAT to know that you two were able to recharge your batteries over the weekend, so that you can pick this up again right where you left off. Honestly, we were missing it, all of us.

Hi Treasure,

I had not realized that Amara was gone. I don't know her well but I'm sad nevertheless if she is.

It didn't take me a weekend... all I had to do was come in this morning and see him insulting people. I dunno why... but when he picks on people, particularly women, it bugs me and I want to strike back. I'm stupid I know.

I trust that one of you will let me know when it is safe to remove the two from my ignore list.

*sigh* Over a year here now, and the length of my ignore list is exactly two.

So now you are insulting the heterosexual community by suggesting that you have to be gay to be cool? Way to go! What is next? Celibates have no fun? Furries are animal lovers? I can hardly wait.

I can understand why the over-emotional over-reaction to reasonable comments, the swearing and the homophobic insults might deter anyone of a sensitive disposition from even reading *this* thread, much less participating in the forums. :(

And she's left the Cartel group inworld.
I'm a little more surprised at this, since it has always been a guiding principle (which I have scrupulously observed) that you don't take forum disagreements inworld . . .

Pep ( . . . although perhaps she was appalled at the sickening public displays of affection which have recently become prevalent in the Cartel Group Chat? ;) )

Ya know, I had major surgery in the spring, along with a big health scare. After recovery, I was able to work for about five weeks before getting completely knocked off my feet with serious back problems. I’m running out of patience and supplemental health benefits.

Today I am back at work and am going to try sitting upright for more than an hour at a time. People at work are supportive, my RL and SL friends have been super. I have plans to get back in shape with the help of a rehab specialist

During my forced vacation I’ve learned that the world at work turns without me. I found that I can, after all, create stuff in Second Life, even it it’s all a bit noobish. My garden will get through the fall without me, too. I’ve had a long good mental rest.

All in all, some benefits came out of all of this, along with the pain.

The most significant thing I’ve learned is that there is no need, no point, and no benefit in getting excited over waste-of-space attention-whores like Pserendipity Daniels.

Live your life, people, RL or SL.

I don't think those were the sickening public displays that sent her out of here. You'd have to ask her though, if you are interested in getting it first hand.

Clearly, I am missing out on the really GOOD gossip by not being a member of the Cartel . . . :(
