Let me see if I can put this in words ...

It feels wonderful to be in love. It feels even better to be loved. We can give love away and never ever have any less than we started with. It is kind of strange that something with an endless supply would be so valuable. It is also strange how some people will hoard what they have and never give any way since there is and endless supply. especially when the love we have does not show its real value until it is given away.

We all have love to give away and can always, ALWAYS, give away more without losing anything. Receiving love, on the other hand, is not so free. We can not force it, buy it or in anyway acquire it other than to be freely given. That is the only time it has value and that value is unwavering in its supremacy of all things.

So, you give your love away and doing so makes you feel good. Then the person who receives it does not value it. They throw it away and let it die. It hurts because what was so valuable at one time has been neglected and you feel foolish for having given it to someone who would not realize its value.

But who is the fool?

3ring, do not let some fool make a fool out of you by making you stop giving away the love you have. You can always give away more. There is no certainty he will ever receive any again.

I don't think I ever wore fishnet stockings in high school but I sure remember garter belts. Not fondly either.

Me either and me too.

Treasure

P.S. FYI I'm out of pocket, my laptop is dead in the water, as of late last nite. Hubby is talking to tech support now as it's under warranty. This old desktop I'm on can't run SL. Kaimi, I wil lbe in touch during the week to confirm our lunch date. Just letting you all know what's up with me if you don't hear from me.

I've loved fishnets since I"m a young girl ;)

Funny, I was telling Ghosty kind of recently, something about when I first went to see a Broadway show and was SO uncomfortable because of having to wear a garter belt with my fishnet stockings. I must have been, oh, I'll guess and say 10 or so. He was appalled and asked what on earth was I doing wearing a garter belt at that age? I'm like, well pantyhose wasn't invented yet (oh boy, dating myself lol), and nobody thought it odd at that time (late 60's) to have a pre-teen in a garter belt to dress up if she needed to be fancy for an evening - I mean, what else was going to hold up the stockings?

He said he never remembered his sister wearing such things, and I had to remind him that most likely, that's because his sister didn't SHARE her undergarment life with him :p (as it well should be!). Let alone, his mom, was quite strict in those days too from what he has said.

Do you remember wearing these? Surely it wasn't just me!

Me also. . .hated those things :)

@Weston, YW ;)

All the pirate outfits made me think of something I posted across te street.

For a long time I have been wearing a cleavage enhancer made by Ayumi and she posts over on SLU. I have recently got an update from LAQ about their new cleavage enhancement for their skins. Anyway, I went over to SLU to tell Ayumi and also to thank her again for the one she made since she includes several shades plus a greyscale one that can be custom tinted for whatever skin you use.

So, in case anyone was wondering (and because i don't think the guys would mind the pics ;)) here is what they look like.

First, the base skin. I wear LAQ now but most skins will look something like this.

This is the enhancement made by Ayumi. It does help in bringing the girls together.

And finally the LAQ version made specifically for this skin tone and product line.

Of course across the street where Ayumi posts there was some serious loyalty issues and I do feel a loyalty to Ayumi as well, but I also see these as being 3 choices. I don't feel like I have to pick one style and shun the others.

The top looks best for nude or loose blouse worn without a bra. The middle brings them together like a little support but still a little loose like a good fitting bra. The third pushes them together more but unless you are wearing a corset or a tight bodice (like the late 19th century pirate outfits seen recently) they look phony.

Anyway, there are the secrets to my bust. I guess I could get detailed and make 3 shapes as well. I actually am thinking about making one with like 0 gravity to wear with merry widow type tops but otherwise the cleavage enhancements are doing a great job shaping my bust to fit how my clothes are worn.

There is a world of difference between the lace garter belts he is thinking of the the little rubber-buttoned straps of the time.

Actually, you could get pantyhose but they were considered risque for the time. No one was supposed to see that high up our skirts if you were a good girl anyway. They were certainly not something a a young girl should be wearing.

About my blog: I think I've figured out a system I can live with. I'm going to limit myself to ten posts, and when a new one goes up, an old one will be deleted. That way, if I don't have a history, I won't have as much guilt to deal with. Also, I can block Google so they don't cache me.

I'm going to look around at blog software again, and if I can't find something I like better, I'll just go back to Wordpress again.

@Maureen - your face is so beautiful in that pirate shot! The whole thing is wonderful, but your face is just amazing.

Another quick drive by to say hi. Very hectic here, meeting everyone - they all seem really nice :)

Typical of my luck though. It's freshers week - I was planning on really letting my hair down but I have an early start 3 out of 5 days this week for induction stuffs, so will be missing out on the really good stuff :(
Everyone else just has the one early start, which is still later than mine

Anyway, I had better head for bed, First day tomorrow and don't want to be late. I'll be back soon :)

Thanks, yes the coloring is from using a WindLight setting. I do not know which one, though.

It might be Patriotix, but I am not certain.

So, did you ever just cam around in a commercial, not-Zindra sort of sim to see who's there, maybe because you're looking for staff, when you come across something that just makes you think: Hmmmmm.....

Missed the shot where they were all gathered around, apparently admiring the appendage. There is a story to this, I'm sure :)

So, I found this lovely sim today, Welsh Lake, Between the Trees. It's part of the AM Radio offerings. I had taken a photo earlier logged in as my martian alt and came back again to do more with the windlight settings. While there, the creator happened to pop in, and we were chatting. He mentioned it's only going to be around until 11/7, quite sad as it's a stunning place. He also told me there were other levels which I had not known about. So, I TP'd to another one and that is where it got interesting.

My martian, in all the time I've rezzed her, has never really had much interaction with humans. Don't know why, but, whatever. However, there was a couple up there who latched onto her immediately and began talking to me, wanting to inspect me, asking what planet I was from, etc. It was quite fun, and in the end they gave me two wonderful airships (flying saucers!) which I really needed, since I told them I'd lost mine in the crash which brought me to earth :D
