Is this where we're all supposed to jump in and say, "Me too!"?

Not that anyone wold give a crap if I quit this thread or this forum but I can totally see lots of reasons BESIDES Pep to want nothing to do with this.

I am going to go and enjoy my evening taking snaps. Happy Rah-rahing.

Why? Because he's your 'friend'

Go . . .

Well ok then.

I raise in a toast to Rhonda . . .she finally stated what most of us have been wanting to say and were too chicken to say it. Thanks, Rhonda :)

It has come to my attention that there is at least one regular poster to this thread who is in bed with a cold.

So for everyone who could use a little pick-me-up, and some get well fare...my humble offering:

*blearily reaches for a spoon*

Thanks, love. That might help. :)

Yes, wishing someone would kill themselves or die always makes you look so much better than the troll in question.

And I agree with you Laurin, there are plenty of reasons besides Pep to leave this thread.

1 User Disagrees.

Can we now take any and all of that stuff to PM's please?

Attack me if you like, but I don't find any place for that here..by or against any poster.

Yes, I'm ex-Navy. Yes, I can cuss-like-a-sailor. But No...this is not a Quentin Tarantino movie.

I come here to

1. Chat with friends
2. Enjoy the stories and pictures
3. Pick up a few SL tidbits
and
4. Joke and flirt (maybe just a little ;) )

It really doesn't take any effort to ignore Pep's little barbs. Literally none! A reply requires you know..typing..and button pushing. But this episode has gone on far, far too long. I am ashamed of all those involved. :(

The most significant thing I’ve learned is that there is no need, no point, and no benefit in getting excited over waste-of-space attention-whore

Is true. Easy to ignore stuff, especially when you know they just want to get a rise out of you. Debate with such is irrelevant, because it is not going to change a mind. Best you can do is simply rise above it. It's like the old G.B. Shaw quote, "I learned long ago, never to wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it."

Well I woke up really early this morning to find an offline email saying that I was ejected from the Burning Life Access group from a resident moderator.

That;s likely the automated system they have been using for group access. Contact either Dusty, Kitty Tandino, or Talia Tokugawa (the latter two might be the better bet) an let the know what happened.

@Mari: oooh, great pics. I've never been to the Burning Life exhibits; I'm looking forward to this year's!

Love this pic:

Thank you! The Temple is really quite beautiful. To be honest, it sorta made me gasp in RL when I drove up upon it in SL. Very pretty place. That photo (deliberately) does not do it justice. :-)

This...I heard the episode in chat where she was so upset. . .he has gone too far, for too long. I know you and Mo (perhaps others) don't agree and this will be the last of it you will hear from me, but he is a horrible excuse for a person, friend or poster.

ETA: one more thing, this is why he keeps coming back and doing the same thing, because some people won't protest. :( They want to stay on the middle of the fence...sometimes you have to take a side.

Nobody enjoys being belittled over and over, or watching their friends endure the same. So it does take a great deal of effort to ignore it - and one questions whether one can ignore it and remain true to one's self and friends. YMMV.

Rhonda, really..I understand your frustration, and your sense of loss. I view Amara as a good (although rarely seen in-world) friend. Her loss to this thread came as a complete surprise to me this morning and hurts me deeply.

But what's done is done. I can't change it. Nor can you.

What we can do is try to get the thread back on track, try to return it to what has kept it going for so very long. Dropping a string of f-bombs isn't the right direction IMHO.

Now...if you'd care to bring "the girls" out to say hi again...THAT might just do the trick. ;) :D

*blinks innocently* What? Just sayin'!

Sorry, but this thread has been off track for a long time now. The best we can manage is to once more go back to pretending there's no problem... until the next explosion of frustration.

What fun. What a ideal to aspire to.

No, this is not absolutely true...not in all cases.

I think I'm older than you, and probably have a little more life experience. :p

No.

Count me out out of the mob mentality for agreeing with what Rhonda said for wishing ANYONE would be inflicted with such a horrible disease such as cancer. I've seen children literally green from their chemo and radiation treatments then later find out they have died from their grieving parents. While I've been lucky enough not to have anyone really close to me get cancer, it is not something I would wish upon my worst enemy. I am truly disgusted with the manner in which this thread has devolved.
